Chapter 7

I searched for what felt like hours, and I opened some boxes. While I was there I also tried to organize some of the things in the office, since it was annoying me how messy the office was.

I got to a box which had a big painted eye on it, I dumped out the contents in the box, it was just a bunch of papers. I took one, looking over at the paper. It said the maw, I looked around, this definitely looked like it would be called the maw.

I put everything back into the box as I put it away in the corner, where it was before. I sighed, opening the door behind me. There wasn't anyone in there, which was good. I had to go back since there weren't any other doors in the office.

I walked throughout the maw, looking at the wall and ceiling most of the time. I saw some prison cells, I looked in them. They looked to be covered in blood, so I backed up from those. I quickly walked the other way, away from the bloody cages.

I opened a door, walking into the room. It was filled with sleeping children in beds. They were rolling around in their sleep sometimes. I looked around, there were so many kids. I felt my breathing quicken. I tried to breathe but couldn't.

All of a sudden the door to the room slammed shut, I turned around in alarm. Another door, in the middle of the room opened up. Out walked the long armed monster from earlier. I backed up, sliding under a bed. I held my mouth with my hands, trying not to make too much noise.

I tried to hold my breath back, especially my tears. I heard the thing outside crack his neck as it started to go around the room feeling everything with his hands. He kept on patting the ground, not doing anything else.

It felt like forever from when he finally left the room. I left out my breath, slowly breathing in and out trying to calm myself down. I wiped the oncoming tears, no need for those.

I crawled out from under the bed, looking at the closed door. I waited for a few seconds to make sure he was gone. After that I continued on walking further into the room. I walked into a separate smaller room, I saw cages then an open vent at the top by some shelves. I climbed up the cages, then jumped onto the shelves. I climbed onto the higher shelf then crawled into the vent.
