Another coffee shop au! (Went back to my writing style)

The couple stopped by Sora's coffee shop and chatted for a bit. Jaxx got some time to study and get to know Charli whilst Sora was able to finish up some orders. About 2 hours had passed and Jaxx had covered most of his topics but he didn't want to leave just yet. He thought to pass the time he could order something at the front, the line wasn't too long and not too many people were stopping by.

"Do I still have to pay?" He joked, making a pouting sort of expression. Jaxx wanted to mess around with the two workers quickly to enlighten the mood in the cafe some more.

"I'll let you take a guess." Sora teased from the other side behind the counter space. Rolling his eyes and giving the other a chuckle in the end. "I'll be right back, just gonna get some more ingredients from the back for the smoothie bar." With that the cyan boy gave a wave and disappeared to the back room.

Charli looked over to Jaxx with innocence sparkling in her eyes that matched her hair. "I didn't get the chance to say – but.." There was a pause. "You are dating Sora after all and I want to make sure that he is treated very well." She said in a quiet but stern voice, her smile still on her face.

"Y..you got it!" Jaxx gave a nervous chuckle.
"So, your date, Sora says it went well." Charli said, she spoke with a smile, wiping the counter and machinery, but she wasn't looking at him. "Don't worry about the reply." She finally looked at him, her smile shining brighter than ever. "Here's your order, $4.78."
Jaxx rummaged through his pockets for his wallet. It wasn't there. Quickly, he rushed to the table he sat at and looked in his bag or under the table in case it fell. Nothing. Shear panic took over him and he didn't know what to say.

"Looking for something?" A voice came from behind him. To Jaxx's luck; it was Sora – holding a brown leather wallet in his hand. He remembered that they chased each other around the park, stealing each others' things (giving them back of course) but it seemed that Sora forgot to return the wallet when they got to the shop. The cyan boy laughed at his actions and took three dollar bills out, before finally giving the back the redhead's wallet. "This will cover it fine." He smiled, pecking a kiss on the other's cheek.

The two shared a short moment before it was interrupted by a fake cough.
"When you love birds are done I'd love Sora back." Charli said with an annoyed tone in her voice. They still had a little under 4 hours left.
"I'll come see you at closing time, then. Just text me." Jaxx gave Sora a short but comforting embrace and left the shop, waving to the two before completely leaving.

"You got yourself a good one, Sora." Charli teased behind him.
"Shut up Charli!" He flushed a shade of red.

Jaxx was at home to finish off some things for a friend. His friend owned a channel on YouTube and he would help with some of the editing. Editing normally took him around just under an hour to three hours, this time it took about an hour and a half so he grabbed something to eat and decided to head out for a bit. For his friendly appearance, he was never really allowed to go out often so now that he's moved out and has his own life; he enjoyed the outdoor environment around the town.

It was only an approximate 10 minute walk from Jaxx's house to the coffee shop and he still had much more time until closing time. He walked those 7 minutes and made a glance through the cafe windows. It wasn't stalking.. just checking up on things without making an interaction. Inside he saw Charli making orders and Sora talking to the customers. He quickly rushed past the shop to avoid being noticed which stung his heart a bit since he had gotten so used to going into the building and hearing Sora's voice greet him each time.

On the other hand, although Sora was accommodating the customers, he noticed Jaxx's firery hair from the window. His face lit up, it wasn't time yet but he thought Jaxx had come by early to see him. His mood soon changed when he say the redhead just pass the windows.

More time passed and it was finally closing time. Before turning off the lights, he texted Jaxx and soon waited with Charli outside. Charli didn't live too far from the shop but it was a driving distance so she had her best friend come pick her up. The two talked about their plans and Charli suggested that they could go on a double date with their partners some time. Sora was ecstatic towards the idea and would ask Jaxx as soon as he sees him.

The wait wasn't long but Jaxx did come to pick up Sora and soon enough the 3 bid their goodbyes and went their separate ways.

"My place still?" Jaxx looked over to the shorter male beside him.
"Duh. Where else?" Sora gave off his iconic sass as he rolled his eyes jokingly with a smirk on his face.

This was Sora's first time going to Jaxx's place but he didn't feel anything different about it, he felt safe and comforted by the taller male.

Mid-conversation they had finally made it to Jaxx's street and Jaxx led him inside his house.
It wasn't nothing too fancy, just a regular 2-bedroom suburban house down the street, but to Jaxx it was home and Sora saw it too.

There was silence for a moment until it was broken by Sora, who seemed to be in a sort of daze. "Can I sleep here?" He said blankly.
"Sleep? As in.." Jaxx took a minute to process what the blue boy had said until he repeated himself.
"I... sleep here.. with you- I-IF THAT'S OKAY WITH YOU OF COURSE! I- I DON'T WANNA PUSH YOU OR ANYTHING JUST-" Sora rambled off, his face flushed red in embarrassment. However, while Sora tumbled over his words, Jaxx smiled at him in awe and cut him off with a slight chuckle. "Of course, I don't mind."

The two hung out in the living room by playing games, talking about mutuals and interests. It was just like their date but cozier. Jaxx made them both dinner with his famous potatoes and they went upstairs.
"I'll just do the dishes real quick and I'll get back to you, alright?" Jaxx gave Sora a kiss on his forehead and rushed to the kitchen. Sora shook off the blush glowing from his cheeks and quietly ran down the stairs to get something from the living room. The two then reunited back on the stairs.

In Sora's arms was a small stuffed plush of a black bear with red and blue accents in one ear each alongside stitchmarks that embedded with the design.
"Isn't that the bear from our date? The one that I gave you." Jaxx looked at him with a questioning look.
"Yeah! I've never gone to sleep without it ever since you gave it to me!" Sora smiled, he was tired but his tone was just so energetic when it came to his favourite possession. The tension between the two softened and they went up the stairs together hand in hand.

"My room is the second door to the left." Jaxx pointed to the dark wooden door that contrasted with the light beige walls.
The room was nothing much; it had his computer along a wall where the opened door would lean against, his bed on the opposite from the desk, and a closet gap just beside the door.
The two climbed into the sheets of the double bed and said goodnight.

Later in the night Jaxx looked over to Sora who, although was covered in blankets, was shivering slightly. Gently, the redhead moved over towards the cyan boy and held him tight. Soon before he drifted into a slumber.
