It was a peaceful day in the Cloud Recesses...

"Wei Wuxian, I swear I'll break your legs!"

...Or maybe not so peaceful day.

The sudden shouting was followed by a loud laughter. Two figures were soon seen running out of the kitchens. One was dressed in black; he seemed as if he was going to die from running and laughing at the same time. The other one was in majestic purple robes, but...

The flour and unknown sweet substance that stained his robes and part of his hair ruined his image. He looked furious as he was chasing after the other one, his ring sparking purple lighting.

Anyone who saw the scene already knew part of what happened. The sect leader Jiang Wanyin and his brother Wei Wuxian had spent some time together. It never ended well or when it did, it would have consequences the next day. The sect disciples were quick to move out of their ways to avoid being flung off the road. Whoever wrote the rule 'no running in the Cloud Recesses' must be smashing his head against a wall, if not already done.

"A-Cheng, you wouldn't dare to do such thing! What kind of didi are you?"

"Who are you calling didi now, huh?! Wei Wuxian, come back here! Right now!"

And the two went back to the chase after a brief break, but were quickly stopped by two white tall figures.

"Lan Zhan, here you are! Husband, protect me now!", Wei Wuxian said, dramatically throwing himself in Lan Wangji's arms. He held Wei Wuxian as soon as he said so, being used to it at this point.

"Wanyin, what's going on?", Lan xichen asked, standing right beside his brother. His sweet, bright smile flickered for a second as he noticed his lover bathing in sweet... batter? Syrup? No one really knew.

"Wei Wuxian is going on! This asshole purposely spilled it all over me! Now look at me, my robes are ruined!!"

"Well well, A-Cheng, you never know... maybe brother Xichen likes to eat sweet things-"

It took a second for all the people present to get what he meant by that. A bright pink shade rose to Jiang Cheng's cheeks and a lighter one of Lan Xichen's. Lan Wangji still had his normal face on, but was obviously holding a grin. He learned how to loosen himself around the ones surrounding him at the moment, so it wasn't that shocking to them as it would have been a few years prior.

"You- you shameless bastard!", Jiang Cheng exclaimed, another wave of laughter following it. "How dare you say such thing in front of a sect leader- no, two sect leaders!!"

"What's more shameless, Jiang Cheng? What I just said out loud or what you had told me back then in the kitchens? Be careful with your answer, sect leader Jiang!", and with that, Wei Wuxian hopped off Lan Wangji's arms but instead went to hide behind the tall man.

"Ahahahahaha... Wanyin, come on. Let's get yourself cleaned up, alright? We have a dinner to attend tonight, remember? I'll help you get ready, come on..."

"Lan Huan! But-!", Jiang Cheng looked at his lover's face and read its expression. He was obviously tired and wanted a break from all the shouting and bickering between him and Wei Wuxian.

Honestly, Jiang Cheng couldn't blame him. Ever since he came to visit him, and his brother but he would never admit that out loud, never in his life, it would always end up in some arguments. Shockingly, or not much when you get to know the story, he even started to get along with his brother's husband, Lan Wangji. The two of them always ended up bumping into each other whenever he would come visit. At one point, for Lan Xichen's mental health's being and for Wei Wuxian's sake, the two ex-enemies accepted to bring peace between them. Needless to say that their lovers were charmed. Lan Wangji will always remember how Wei Wuxian expressed his 'gratitude' with a special present and Jiang Cheng will remember that one night with Lan Xichen.
