Y/n

I was speechless. This place was huge! There was a big stretch of woods to the northwest, a beautiful beach, the creek, the canoe lake, and lush green fields, along with strawberry fields. Connor showed me the climbing wall that spewed lava. I have no intention of trying that out. We walked past the mess hall and the amphitheater. Then we reached the cabins which were arranged like a Greek omega, with a loop of cabins around a central green, and two wings sticking out the bottom on either side. There were twenty cabins in all. One glowed golden, another silver. One had grass on the roof. Another was bright red with barbed wire trenches. One cabin was black with fiery green torches out front.
"Once you are claimed you will be sorted into a cabin based on your godly parent. Until then you will share a cabin with me and my siblings," Connor said.
"Which cabin is yours?" I ask.
     "Cabin 11. The Hermes cabin."
     "Woah. Your dad is Hermes?"
      "Yeah! Cool right?"
"Really cool... I have no idea who Hermes is."
Connor rolled his eyes. "How could you not know who Hermes is? He's literally one of the twelve Olympians!"
"Sorry. I don't know much about um Greek mythology." The idea that Greek mythology was real still seemed crazy to me.
"Well Hermes is awesome although I'm a bit biased with him being my dad and all. Anyway Hermes is the messenger of the gods. He's also the god of travelers, merchants, and my favorite one, thieves."
"Thieves? Is it really a good idea to spend the night in the Hermes cabin?"
"To be honest, probably not. As long as you don't have anything that's super important and valuable you'll be fine but you don't have to worry because I'll be there!"
     "That doesn't really reassure me."
     "Come on, it'll be fun!"
"What is your idea of 'fun?'"
Connor smirked and raised his eyebrow. "Wanna find out? Follow me."
He started walking towards the cabins before I could object. I hesitated at first but my curiosity got the best of me so I started to jog to catch up with him.
We approached a large brown cabin. It looked very basic and dull and the paint was chipping off. It had a weird symbol on the door with two snakes wrapped around what looked like a staff. Connor opened the door and motioned me in.
"Welcome to my humble home." I walked in. The place was very crowded with people. As Connor came in he walked past everyone towards a big brown chest and opens it. There were tons of random junk in there. I spotted a Whoopi cushion, a rubber snake, a nerf gun, and a bunch of other things. He continued to dig through it all and pulled out a bucket, a rope, and a jug of what looked like green slime. He closed the chest and I followed him out the door.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"You'll see." I rolled my eyes tired of being left in suspense.
We walked up to another cabin with gray walls and a checkerboard deck painted blue and white with pillars leading up to a painted roof. Connor set down all his stuff on the porch.
"Welcome to the Aphrodite cabin." Conner spread his arms out and had a mischievous smile on his face.
"What are we doing here?"
"Having fun." Connor walked over to a pillar and motioned me over. "I'm gonna give you a hand so you can get on the roof. When you get up there I'll hand you the stuff and then you can tie this rope up there somewhere for me to climb. Got it?"
"I-"
"Good." He bent down on one knee and locked his hands into a position where I could step onto. At this point I gave up asking questions so I placed my foot into his hands.
"On three. You ready?" He asks. I nod. "One... two... three!"
I push up as he helps boost my momentum and I pretty much flew up to the roof. I did not expect that kind of strength from Connor. I bend over the roof and reached down as he handed me the supplies. I set down all of it and grabbed the rope to untangle it. There was a metal chimney thing that I went over towards. I wrapped the rope around it and tied it tight. I walked back over to the edge of the roof and threw the rope over for Connor. He struggled a bit but climbed up and pulled himself and the rope over.
"Now we need to fill this bucket with slime." We opened the jug and poured it into the bucket until it was completely full.
"When the horn blows for dinner, the Aphrodite kids are going to walk out looking all nice and pretty and that's when we dump this on them."
I cover my mouth in shock. "Are you sure this is a good idea? I don't wanna get kicked out of camp on my first day."
"You'll be fine. I've done plenty of stuff like this and I'm still here aren't I? But try not to get caught."
We waited a little while on the roof playing games like Rock Paper Scissors and I spy. All of a sudden a horn blew in the distance and Connor looked at me with a smile and nodded. We snuck over the edge of the roof with our bucket of slime ready. The door opened and lots of kids walked out. Then Connor dumped the slime on them and we quickly backed away to hide. There were lots of screams. I felt pretty guilty yet I had to hold in my laughter.
"Who's up there?" A kid asked angrily.
"Probably another stupid Hermes kid. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the Stolls." Another kid said.
"Well whoever it is is dead."
Connor tapped me on the shoulder and pointed to the roof towards the back of the cabin. He put his finger to his lips and started crawling over there. I followed. There was still a ton of commotion from the other campers.
When we reached the edge of the roof Connor leaned over and grabbed a hold of the back pillar and slid down. When he reached the bottom he looked up and quietly whispered up to me telling me to hurry. I did the same as him and slid down although my landing wasn't very pretty. We quickly ran away and headed towards the mess hall laughing like lunatics. I have to admit, that was actually pretty fun.
