Chapter 5

Josh's P.O.V.

I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing. I groggily got up and saw that I had 5 missed calls from Olivia. I decided to call back.

"Where have you been, do you know how many times I have called you??" She exaggerated.

"Whoa whoa whoa, slow down a bit."

"Ugh, I just want to know if you're still coming to the party or not."

"Why the hell are you having a party so early anyways?"

"What do you mean, its 2:30 pm. The party starts at 4." I abruptly got up and stared at the clock. I didn't even realize it was so late.

"Oh, um, yeah I will come."

"Ok, good. See you there." She then hung.

I got up and took a quick shower. He put on some casual clothes and decided to text Rachel.

J: hey u wanna come wit me to a party?

R: sure i guess, i hav nothin to do anyways

J: Great i will pick u up around 4?

R: yeah and do u mind if Aiden tags along? I dont wanna leave him all by himself

I groaned at the mention of Aiden's name. He never liked that guy and he never will.

J: sure whatever he can come along

R: k thnxs see u then ^^

I locked his phone and went to the kitchen. I grabbed a bowl and poured my cereal and milk into it. Tch, why does that brat have to come with us? Rachel probably doesn't realize how bad he is.. I thought. By the time I finished eating it was about 3:15. I had nothing else to do so he decided to take a walk around the neighborhood.

As I walked he passed by a small playground. I decided to take a break and sit down on one of the benches for a while. I reached into my pocket to take out my headphones. I let my Fall Out Boys album play. Then a young girl about the age of 7 walked up to where I was and sat down next to me. Her mouth moved but I couldn't hear her. I removed one earbud.

"What did you say?"

"I said hey mister." She smiled.

"Don't you know its not good to talk to strangers?"

"Yup!"

"Then why are you talking to me?"

"Cause your not a stranger."

"Oh? And how can you tell?" I smirked.

"Cause we have met a lot before." As she said this, a woman looking around 30 walked towards us.

"Sydney, I told you to not walk off so sud- Josh Anderson?" She exclaimed.

"Um..yes thats me..." I replied a little confused. "Do I know you..?"

"You don't remember us, do you?" I shook my head. "Well before you moved you used to baby-sit little Sydney here when you were about 15."

Then suddenly a bunch of memories clicked into place. 

~Le Flashback Time~

"Hey Syd." I said as I picked up the little 5 year old girl, spinning her around in the air. She giggled as I did so.

"I will be back around 9, you guys have fun ok?"

"OK!!" We replied at the same time while laughing.
