(THIS IS PRETTY MUCH JUST FALLOUT WITH POKÉMON XD)
A mere 50 years ago, Team Rocket gave up on their weak plans for domination. They resorted to war and violence, and nuclear weaponry was soon to follow. Many opposed them, and the fight lasted many months. Team Rocket not only destroyed their enemies and the continent, but also themselves. All of the legendary pokémon descended from the skies upon hearing the suffering of the pained Pokémon of the region, and sacrificed themselves to stop Pokémon from being wiped out entirely.
The huge chunk of land broke off and drifted into the ocean, now a barren wasteland without much to offer. Most everything had been destroyed by the bombs, and there was no rule. The few remaining member of Team Rocket formed a legion known as Team Chrome, whose sole purpose was to raid small outlying towns and villages.
The cotinent soon descended into chaos and silence, most trainers holing themselves up in vaults to hide from the fierce storms and fiercer legion. There was little room in the bunkers, and so trainers were forced to free their Pokémon into the wasteland in hopes of their survival. The Pokémon ended up evolving in miraculous ways, higher intelligence and even certain levels of speech. But without their human companions, they became wild, vicious killing machines, and forgot what they once had done.
None of those people ever emerged from their vaults. And because of the harsh conditions, most everyone died before the age of forty. There was hardly anyone left to remember that Pokémon had once been our greatest companions, that the world had once been a wonderful and forgiving place.
However, a few exceptions remained. Around a two dozen or so towns had been founded when the vaults were first used, so that they people within them could wait and see if the land improved, if they could still survive. But with all the death and hardship, people soon forgot about their human counterparts still living underground. The people of the vaults have waited 50 years for the message, but even they are beginning to forget. Less than a dozen of those towns still stand, and the ones who do are constantly being threatened by Pokémon and Team Chrome thugs.
They try to keep in contact with each other, but most messengers don't reach their destination. There is a vague map of these towns.
Detonate, currently the largest form of civilization. It resides in the very center of the largest city on the continent, which is half-collapsed and most likely the most dangerous place on the entire continent.
Fracture, A small but well-known city, built on the very edge of a huge tear in the earth, said to have been made by Groudon when it broke the continent off from the main land mass. A common stop for traders and travelers.
Forfeit, Built on the slopes on a ice-capped mountain. It is perilous terrain, and hard to defend. It is said that the Pokémon there are the most vicious of any other territory, hearts as cold as the snow that surrounds them.
Wayward, A town that is constantly on the move. They are famous for their variety of Pokémon, and their trappers are some of the best. They close alliance with Fracture, supplying most of their resources.
Smolder, Built at the base of a still active volcano. They have learned ways to generate electricity using extreme heat, so their town is one of the most modern and powerful. They sell their technology to other places.
Havoc, A large city that seems to have turned against itself. None of the inhabitants are to be trusted, there are many suspicious people. It is, however, home to some of the greatest crafters in the Derelict Region.
Desolation, Big, sheltered, one of the safest places in the wasteland. The Pokémon living in the area are slightly more docile- which doesn't mean much else other than that they won't kill on sight.
Cherish, The friendliest town by wasteland standards. Home to one of the few fully-functioning Pokémon centers still available to passerby, also where most traders originate from. Built on a rare patch of land
And finally, Incursion. It's nothing special, really. Except that this is where you start your adventure. They have a wide range of starters and a wide range of people, though they seem small and insignificant. While it has some plant life, and giant boulders for a cave to shade it from the sun, it is one of the most unforgiving places in the wasteland. To sustain their growing population, they cast out trainers as soon as they have chosen their starter, and do not allow them to return until they have proven themselves.
You've finally decided to leave Incursion behind, and embark on your own adventure. Before you leave, you decide to plan, explore, and say goodbye to your friends and relatives.
