This life is shitty.

All any adult can think about is work and how stressed they are.

When they voluntarily dedicate their lives to one specific word.

Success.

Something very few people are able to obtain.

That word is something that Y/N L/N wants as well.

They didn't think about love or what to wear the following day.

They are just your average run-of-the-mill, middle aged author trying to make a fortune of of their books.

They only things that are on their mind are take-out and what to write for the next chapter of their book.

Their parents let them be. Sometimes they would even buy and drop off groceries for them, but they mostly just let them bury themselves in a mountain of work.

But that all ended one night while the author was laying soundlessly in their bed, not making a single sound.

They had their earphones plugged tightly in their ears as music of any kind blasted through it.

They were just scrolling through their socials, doing nothing in particular. As they were scrolling, they came across a strange website.

It read 'True dreams.com'

Clicking the link, the website's backdrop shone a beautiful photograph of a cloudy night sky with the twinkling stars shining brightly behind the clouds.

There was a large white button that read in big, bold letter, 'CLICK ME'

Y/N felt their head become fuzzy, probably from fatigue, I mean it was extremely late in the late. Without even thinking, they clicked the button.

For a second, nothing changed, nothing shifted.

Y/N feeling more tired than anything, placed their phone on their bedside table and closed their heavy eyes instantly.

Once their eyes had closed, a searing, brain splitting headache came over them, but they couldn't wake up. No matter how much they tried, their eyes stayed sealed shut.

The pain spread to the rest of their body and it went straight into their heart. They grabbed their chest in pain and tried to gently rub it, anything to try and at least soothe the pain. They flailed their body all about, trying to open their eyes and soothe the searing pain in their chest at the same time.

Suddenly, as Y/N tried sitting up in their bed, they banged their head against the bed rest, smashing their already hurting skull even more.

Within a few minutes, they stopped all their movements and their heart rate completely stopped.
