Adora wakes up not feeling quite her self unbeknownst to her the night before her wife and daughter play a prank on the blonde. Shera had defeated the alien tyrant only a few days prior with the help of the other Elementals. With a very groggy start to the day Adora stands up only to feel a fluffy tail behind her no not her wife's her's was much to thin this tail was much thicker in girth.
" Good morning babe." Catra says with a wide smile whilst trying to hold back laughter to not alert her wife to the prank.
" Wow you're up early honey you normally sleep in...." The blonde raises a brow in surprise.
" Oh well I thought we could celebrate the victory of defeating Prime...." Catra smirks before playfully punching her wife's arm.
Days ago all seemed lost as the horde had taken over much of the planet. Meowria was still recovering but felt much better since arriving at home. There was a great feast held in the hero's of Etheria's honor. Shadow weaver had been locked away for her war crimes awaiting sentencing. Though they thought Prime was completely destroyed his soul lingered on manipulating his Daughter Astra to do his bidding behind the scenes.
Meowria walks to her parents room to see if the little spell had actually worked. For you see Catra's mother Elena had a book of Spells hidden in her belongings she had left when she died. The book of Tricks that Elena often used to play pranks on her guards in her youth. One such spell could change a normal human into a were Magicat during the full moon. Unfortunately for poor Adora and Glimmer that was the night this night.
" Momma Cat are you sure this is safe that book looks a bit evil....." Meowria looks at the book with concern.
" Will you relax you sound like your other mom trust me I know what I am doing." Catra smiles rolling her eyes to her daughter's protests.
" Oh well don't come to me if it becomes permanent...." Her daughter shrugs crossing her arms.
" That's a problem for future Catra and Meowria." Her mother taunts with a smirk.
The teenager just groans and sneaks into both Her parents room and one of the guest rooms that Glimmer was staying in to grab hair samples. With the spell casted it was only a matter of time before the real fun began. During the night upon Adora awakening the Spell does the Queen of halfmoon's bidding.
" AAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!" Adora screams from inside the bathroom having waken up more.
Meanwhile Catra and Meowria laugh hysterically at the blonde's misfortune.
" Looks like it worked pay up." Catra smirks as her daughter hands her a sack full of gold coins having lost the bet.
" Well so it did....." the princess looks at her mother frowning slightly.
" Catraaaaaaaa why do I have a tail?!" Adora bursts through the door demanding an explanation.
" Dunno but a tail looks good on you the ears too." Catra begins to laugh again.
Just then there is another scream heard through the palace.
" What the heck is going on?........CATRAAaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!" Glimmer comes in the room fuming mad.
" Sheesh sparkles lighten up will you it's not permanent or is it?........" Catra chuckles at the very angry queen Glimmer.
" What..... did..... you... DO?!!!!!" Adora glares at her wife and daughter tail puffed up.
" Just a prank found this book my mother had in her stuff she left behind after her death called the book of tricks and well........ let's just say there might be a spell that turns people into were cats....." Catra shrugs.
" We demand you change us back this instant!" Glimmer hisses her tail also bushy with anger.
" What is all this racket?..... Astra and I are trying to sleep....." Star comes in growling lowly from lack of sleep.
" Ask Catra and Meowriankna they did this..." Adora huffs pointing to the two guilty pranksters.
" What's the big deal it was just a prank lighten up babe and Sparkles." Catra rolls her eyes though she had grown older she was still up to her old tricks.
" Well we don't think it's very funny change us back!" Glimmer glares daggers at the Halfmoonian queen.
" What is this book you speak of?" Star asks quite intrigued.
" The book of tricks...." Catra mumbles under her breath.
" Oh I gave that to your mother for her birthday before I was kittenapped." Star grins placing her hand on Catra's shoulder.
" Glad you all think it's soooooo hilarious but please Catra change us back...." Adora groans placing her hand on her forehead.
Star arches a brow before speaking. " The were cat spell ayyyy one of my favorites unfortunately it can't be reversed every full moon you will change."
" Well isn't this just all fine and dandy...." Glimmer mutters.
The room falls silent after a time in which Catra and her eldest kitten feel quite small. Meowria sighs and leaves the room wanting nothing more to do with this prank gone too far. All eyes lay on the Queen of Halfmoon and her alone. Visions of Shadow Weaver flood the Cat queen's mind as she now is no longer having fun.
" Look If I had known it was permanent I never would have done the prank in the first place. " Catra sighs but instead of getting a scolding her wife hugs her close.
" It's ok honey this isn't the horde we aren't Shadow Weaver." Adora wraps her tail around her wife in a protective manner before she places a kiss on the queen's forehead.
" Meowria tried to stop me but I didn't listen sometimes I wonder if it was all worth it...." Catra begins to sob feeling guilt wash over her.
" How does it feel knowing that your Eldest daughter hates you....." Glitched Meowria's words still echo through her mother's mind like a knife being stabbed into her soul.
Flash backs of the past haunt the queen that night as she sleeps. This was all going according to Prime's plan.....
