Hey kiddos! Sorry if you thought I was dead or abandoned this story! I've just been busy with what used to be the chapter 13 50 follower special. However, given that it's been about half a year in the making and still not half done with it, I've decided to make smaller chapters to keep this story alive. Speaking of, this chapter is actually a draft of another story I'm writing, though with it's O.C.'s swapped for MHA characters.
This will hopefully be the last military based AU for a while though please give me recommendations.

*Cartoonish crashes and rummaging noises ensue*
"Hey I've found it!" Fireside says.
"Found what, Fireside-san?" Asks Midoriya.
"The other projector! This one was an older model. Still the same quality footage but it can't be controlled" he responds.
"Um Fireside-san, why are you writing in the 3rd person for yourself?" Asks Yaomomo.
"What? Why- how did you get my journal?" Fireside questions as he snatches it from Momo. (A/N: Let me know if you prefer this POV to the first person one or you liked it as it was previously)
"Just found it laying around the room. I was trying to clean up the mess Kaminari-san and Kirishima-san made on accident when I stumbled upon it." She answers.
"Sorry Yaomomo!" Kirishima calls from across the room. The walls and sides of which, were covered in burn marks. Denki had a sneezing fit shooting bolts of lightning everywhere. To protect the others, Kirishima made himself into a lightning rod since he's naturally resistant to electricity. The damage, while minimized, had already been done. Yaomomo spent a large quantity of time manufacturing wall panels as the boys helped with installation.
"It's alright. I'd appreciate it if you'd have asked first but thanks for your honesty." Fireside says, refuting any possible shame on her. "It's plugged in now! I'm limited in the features of this thing to pause, fast forward, play, and rewind so I'm afraid choosing the content is impossible as of now. I'll be fixing the remote controlled version in the back rooms if you need to find me." He finishes before running off quickly with the smoldering projector cart.
"Dibs!" The Area 51 escapee shouts as she scrambled to press the play button.

EXCESSIVE SWEAR/TIGGER WARNING
——"Ah that's a good sign." Jiro sarcastically remarked.

March 31st, 1947
The Japanese-Korean Theater (formerly Pacific theater)A US army base on one of Japan's main islands comes into view. Soldiers are going on training marches, tanks and trucks are being restocked and rearmed, and Izuku Midoriya is... Spacing out.

"Sounds like something the damn nerd would do." Bakahoe remarked. Iida seemed like he was about to lecture Izuku but no one paused the video to let him.
——
See, Izuku was ethnically Japanese yet born in America. This of course made him American but he certainly didn't feel that way. After Pearl Harbor, he like so many of his fellow countrymen were outraged. Especially Izuku as their unprovoked attack destroyed not only the respect he had for his homeland but also destroyed his father, whom went down with the USS Arizona.
Unlike his fellow countrymen, however, he and many other Japanese and Japanese-Americans were rounded up in holding camps for a large part of the war. It certainly wasn't like the stories of the Nazi camps he heard or would later see, but it wasn't easy either.
