Chapter 7

The Avengers are gathered in the lab

Bruce is frustrated. "All our work is gone. Ultron cleared out and used the internet as an escape hatch."

Steve nods. "Ultron."

Natasha cuts in. "He's been in everything. Files, surveillance. He probably knows more about us than we know about each other."

James humms. "He's in your files. He's on the internet. What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?"

Maria looks uneasy. "Nuclear codes."

James looks to her. "Nuclear codes. Look, we need to make some calls, assuming we still can."

Natasha scoffs. "Nukes? He said he wanted us dead."

Steve shakes his head. "He didn't say dead. He said extinct."

"Cause that's better." Came from Loki with a snark in his voice

Clint cuts in. "He also said he killed somebody."

Maria looks confused. "But there wasn't anyone else in the building."

Tony looks at them "Yes there was."

Stark brings up the now-destroyed 3D image of JARVIS' consciousness.

Bruce looks shocked. "This is insane."

Steve spoke up, "JARVIS was the first line of defence. He would've shut Ultron down. It makes sense."

Bruce shakes his head. "No, Ultron could've assimilated Jarvis. This isn't strategy. This is...rage."

Thor barges in and grabs hold of Stark by his throat, holding him up.

Everything was quiet till you hear Blaise speak from the slytherin couches. "Even though it's a wrong time, I would never say no to getting choked from him"

Thor looks like a confused puppy not understanding the midgarians induendo while many people laugh or look disturbed at Blaise

Clint stands up in alarm. "Woah, woah, woah! It's going around."

Tony to Thor. "Come on. Use your words, buddy."

Thor looks him in the eyes. "I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark."

Steve stops him. "Thor! The Legionnaire."

Thor lets go of Stark.

Thor looks over to Steve. "Trail went cold about a hundred miles out, but it's headed north, and it has the sceptre. Now we have to retrieve it again."

Natasha looks around the room. "The genie's out of that bottle. Clear and present is Ultron."

Dr. Helen just looks confused. "I don't understand. You built this program. Why is it trying to kill us?"

Stark starts laughing, and Banner subtly shakes his head at him to get him to stop.

"I get that you all are insane in some way, but why are you laughing?" Came Harry Potter, who looks a bit disturbed.

The team looks at each other, shugging their shoulders, not really having a clue.

Thor turns to Tony. "You think this is funny?"

Tony  laughs. "No. It's probably not, right? Is this very terrible? Is it so... is it so... it is. It's so terrible."

Thor still angry. "This could've been avoided if you hadn't played with something you don't understand."
