The tea smelled with a type of green tea.
But it also smelled like jasmine.

I enjoyed my time in the library.
It was what my heart leaned towards.
It's my safe space.
In the middle of reading my book
phone began to ring...

" hello?"
"Hey. I woke up and you weren't here. Where are you?"
Techno asked.
His voice was a bit deeper.
I was a bit shocked that he called me in the first place.
He rarely does.
I do my own thing and he does his.
It's been only 4 days but still.
"I'm somewhere."
"Where?"
I smiled a bit.
He never asks me things like that.
Let's say these past days me and techno started to get to know each other.
I'm getting comfortable.
But im not open or attached.
"Why you wanna know?"
"I just wanna know"
I took a sip of my tea before speaking again.
"Library."
Is all I said before I continued to read my book.
" you like to read?"
" mhm."
" It's pouring outside. Do you have your Jacket?"
Hearing techno ask this many questions is new.
Like 4 days ago he would barely show any emotion.
Now he's actually talking with me more.
"Yea don't worry"
"Okay."
After that the call was silent.
" thanks for the coffee."
" yea don't worry about it. You were overworking yourself."
" we were both overworking."
He was right.
I've been trying to get as much information about the recent killing spree mark went on.
But so far I only got the names of the 3 families he killed.
" yea your right. But no matter how much we worked we got basically nothing. It's been 3-4 days."
I explained.
It's been annoying me so much.
Usually within 3-4 days I'm almost done with any case.
But shit Ethans probably right.
I cant do this alone.
" hey don't worry. We still have plenty of time to get this case done. So don't worry."
Techno reassured me.
*sigh*
" your right."
" hey y/n. Just be careful okay? Don't overthink about it."
" yea I know. Thanks techno"
" mhm."
I hanged up the phone and placed my phone on the table..
