THE YULE BALL, a celebration of the champions competing in the Triwizard Tournament. An event that encourage allyship between the different schools, and possible romance. Therefore everyone now was going around asking for a date. It was a safe to say that Estrella had helped Viktor Krum from avoiding the group of girls who had all been asking him for a dance. The brunette had noticed he had his eyes set is one person in particular, Hermione Granger.
In preparation for the event, the Professors had the idea of creating dance lessons for the students. Especially Hufflepuff and Gryffindor that had their own champions. That was the reason why Estrella now sat next to Ernie Macmillan watching Professor Sprout talk to them about the dance.
"As per tradition every champion will open the Yule Ball with their date. Then everyone will follow in to a wonderful evening of dancing on Christmas Eve." Professor Sprout said to them. She turned on the music before moving to the middle of the room. "Let's practice all together, now partner up." Professor Sprout said.
Estrella sighed watching people pick partner. However she stopped when she saw a hand lent out to her. The brunette looked up to Cedric asking her for the dance. "Okay?" Estrella said confused as she accepted the offer. "You are really giving Rita more fire, you know that." Estrella whispered to him as she watched her step carefully.
Cedric smile, seeing how she was quick to pick up the dance while others struggle. "You are good." Cedric commented.
"You are too, but I am not really that surprised. Wasn't expecting anything less." She said to him. "My dad taught me how to dance." She said to him with a small smile. For the first time in a while she didn't felt the same pain as she spoke about them. Instead she felt happy at the memory.
Cedric smiled at her. "Do you trust me?" He asked her.
"Yes." She replied and then Cedric laughed as he twirl her. Estrella then did the same to him, earning a look from Professor Sprout. "Sorry..." She said to the head of her house. Both Cedric and Estrella held back a laugh as they continue to practice.
The two of them kept sharing jokes between them, earning some jealous looks from others. However, Estrella wasn't playing attention. Instead she was listening Cedric explain the steps of the dance.
. . .
As people began leaving the practice room, Estrella saw Cedric waiting for her at the door. He smiled brightly as he pulled out a book from his backpack. "The Tales of Beedle The Bard as promised." He said to her.
Estrella smiled, looking at the cover curiously. "Is it like what every child reads? We have Cinderella whose godmother turns a pumpkin into a carriage." Estrella said to him as she put the book away. Then she pulled her own book of muggle fairy tales she red growing up, and the a separate one. "Now two books quite different. This is one is about King Arthur, Merlin and knights. This is more princesses, witches and fables." Estrella said to him.
Cedric beamed at them. The two of them walked down the hall, but the brunette stopped when she heard music planning. She poked her head inside to look at an amusing sight. Professor McGonagall was trying to teach her students to dance.
"The House of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the wizard world for nearly ten centuries. I will not have you in the course of a single evening, besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling bubbling band of baboons." Professor McGonagall said to her class. Estrella smiled brightly, watching everyone sit uncomfortably.
Estrella then send one last wave at Cedric before sneaking into the Gryffindor's room. She changed the color of her tie to the yellow and red before hiding behind Fred and George.
