chapter one: senior year.

Valerie pov:

monday, september 1st, 1989

The first day back at Westerberg High. I cant really say i was ready for senior year. But on the bright side, it was one year closer to college.

*RING RING*

I slammed my locker shut to go to first period but jumped back in shock.
'hello sweetheart.' I turn to see two of the few people who actually tolerated me in this school. As i sighed in relief, i push them aside to walk to class.
'So val.. what you got first period?' ram questions as the three of you walk to class together.
'Geography, how about you guys?'
'Me too!' kurt smiled at you.
'Ah man, i got maths. Catch you guys later' Ram fist bumps kurt and I and we part our seperate ways.

Kurt and I laugh and joke with eachother until we reach the classroom. Unfortunately, we sit pretty far from eachother.

Kurt pov:

Although it was short, I had a good time walking to class with Val. She was so funny and nice.. and her smile was so pretty.
I would be lying if i said i wasn't disappointed when we sat far from eachother. But this didn't stop me from admiring her from afar. I watched as she gazed out of the window beside her. She was so gorgeous.

soon enough the bell rang for second period meaning we had to seperate.

~Lunch Time~
Valerie Pov:

I sat in the cafeteria with my lunch tray, alone, as always. I would sit with Martha but she was off sick today. I began eating when kurt and ram came and sat on my table.
'No Heathers today, huh?' I questioned them sarcastically, smirking. The two of them laughed.
'Oh Valerie, i've been meaning to ask. Would you like to go to the arcade with me later? I was meant to go with Heather but she cancelled.' Ram asked.
'Ouch, second option?' i joked but then agreed. Finally, something to look forward to. I look at Kurt and see him getting up to leave. 'Kurt?' i call after him but it's too late. Ram and I shrug at each other and the bell rings.
