I woke up with Anele still in my arms, her leg draped over mine. I couldn't help but smile at the unexpected turn of events.

Who would have thought that after giving me such a hard time yesterday, she'd be this close to me, her leg intimately positioned on mine?

I shook my head, chuckling to myself. Girls...

I stretched my hand out to my pedestal and grabbed my phone. I unlocked it and went straight to WhatsApp, where I saw a notification from Asemahle.

I opened the message to see what she had to say.

FUTURE 💍

Goodmorning 🥰😘 [08:12]

Morning beautiful 😘how you doing? [09:21]

After responding to Asemahle's message, I closed the app. She's the only person I regularly talk to on there; others I ignore because I don't have time for small talk.

My homies are the exception, of course - I always make time for them. But besides them, anyone trying to reach me will call me directly. Simple.

Anele stirred, her gentle movements a stark contrast to her feisty personality.

She slightly opened her eyes, saw me looking, and smiled. Then, she opened her eyes fully and said, "Hey," accompanied by a graceful stretch.

As she moved her leg, I frowned, and she noticed. "What?" she asked, curious about my expression.

Her voice was husky from sleep, but she still looked beautiful.

"Your leg was keeping me warm," I said, explaining my frown.

She nudged me playfully on the shoulder, and I smiled.

"I told you I have my reservations with you," she said, her expression serious.

"You told me when?" I asked, curious.

"Right now," she replied, her voice firm.

I smiled, intrigued by her boldness. "Wow. What? You don't trust me?" I asked, pretending to be hurt.

"It's not about that," she clarified. "I just don't want you to get what you want and then have you toss me aside."

"Okay, but what makes you think I'm going to do that?" I asked, genuinely curious. "I mean, I did end up using your number," I pointed out, referring to the time we first met.

"Maybe you did that to get in my pants," she said, her eyes narrowing slightly.

I laughed, nodding my head in acknowledgement. "Oh wow. Okay." I said, impressed by her bluntness.

She nodded hers too, a hint of a smile on her face. Ayt, she ain't wrong though, so I'ma leave it at that.

"You want me to be honest as to why you're here?" I asked, deciding to address the elephant in the room.

"Please," she said, her voice firm.

"You're not wrong," I began, "I do want to have sex with you-" I said, pausing as she let out a sigh.

"-eventually, though. It doesn't mean I want to do it now. Whenever you're ready," I clarified, making sure she knew I respected her boundaries.

"Secondly, I don't think I'd waste my money flying you here business class just to hit and run," I said, starting to spin a web of lies.

Now was the time to sell her dreams, and I knew it. Don't judge me, I thought to myself.

"I want to get to know you," I continued, trying to sound sincere. "If it works out, it works out. If it doesn't, it doesn't. But I want it to work. So let's not make things difficult. Let this be natural. Even if we fucked on the first night, it's fine. But it must go with how you feel, and not your reservations, otherwise, I don't want this."
