The supermarket music was playing faintly in the background as Astrid roamed around the candy aisle at Walmart with a basket in her arms. Her eyes shifted towards the half-filled basket in her arms that contained Reese's, Hershey's, kit kats, nerds, skittles, and any other type of candy that was in the store. Astrid mentally counted up the candy in the basket with a deep sigh, she wouldn't be surprised if she spent over fifty dollars on chocolate and candy, but it would be worth it in the end.

The blonde-haired girl had around three years left before everything went to hell curtsey of everyone that wanted to either save the world or end the world. Astrid put in one more bar of chocolate into the basket before heading towards the checkout area to pay for her purchases; she dismissed the people staring at her huge candy hall. 'I can always restock at Halloween,' thought Astrid feeling a bit of dread for how much candy Loki was going to steal.

Astrid gave a small smile towards the staff at the checkout. She placed her basket up at the counter and waited for the casher to scan the items while she placed them into a bag. The blonde-haired girl had to give the man some credit as he didn't even bat an eyelash at how much candy she was purchasing. 'Probably doesn't get paid enough for that,' thought Astrid.

"That will be seventy-seven dollars and fourteen cents, please," told the cashier with a professional smile. Astrid winced at the huge hit of her saving, but then she reminded herself that it was for a greater cause.

To get the sugar nut on her side.

After all, Gabriel or Loki, as he wanted to be known as was a well-known candy addict on the show, so this amount should appease the Trickster for the time being. Astrid pulled out the money, counting the correct amount and giving it to them man, before waving him goodbye and walking out of the store with her candy haul.

'I've got the merchandise now I need a way to successfully summon him,' thought Astrid as she walked back home with a Cadbury bar in her hand. 'Please let praying to him work.' If the praying didn't work, then she would have to resort to using the internet to find a ritual to summon him.

"Remember to lock the door," told Kate in her work uniform, she gave Astrid a kiss on her forehead before leaving through the front door and going to work. It was already dark outside, and despite it being only 7pm, Astrid was feeling nervous, her leg tapping furiously on the carpet while she sat on the couch.

The blonde-haired girl waited fifteen minutes, making sure that her mother was long gone before she tried to do something reckless by summoning Loki. Astrid went to check the front and back doors, making sure they were locked and secure; then she shut the living room curtains to keep nosy neighbors from peeking in. A hand brushed through Astrids hair as she tried to bring up her courage to attempt to summon Loki. Thinking and doing were two different things.
