General POV
An ongoing scream erupted before Jude's eyes as he watched the young college girl named Blaire begging for mercy. One by one, she had witnessed the deaths of her closest friends over the computer screen. It came down to only her; everyone else now gone. Blaire was silent for a few minutes, trying her best to hold back the tears.A sudden cool breeze brushed against Blaire's back, making her jump. She turned her head to see if the window was open but it wasn't.
No, it can't be.
Blaire thought she was overreacting, until a figure popped behind her. It was Laura.
"Hello Blaire."
"L-Laura? How are y-you alive?"
"I can't tell you that."
"What do y-you want with me?"
"I wanted to return you the favor."
"W-what do you mean-"
"You pay for what you post."
The camera shut off immediately.
Afterwards, a series of credits appeared on the screen as the lights in the theater brightened throughout the room. Connor glanced at Jude and noticed that he was sweating. He stretched his hand out, rubbing Jude's back.
"It's over Jude, don't worry."
Connor grabbed Jude's chin to meet his eyes. A look of fear was shown on Jude's face, but that soon changed when Connor planted a kiss on his cheek.
"Feel better?"
"Maybe." Jude grinned.
Taylor's head shot up behind Connor and she stared at both of the boys in awe.
"You two are so adorable."
"Thanks." they replied in unison.
"Should we get going now?"
"Yeah, let's go."
The three of them exited out of the movie theater to find Lena's car sitting in the parking lot. Taylor's dad's car was there as well. Jude, Connor, and Taylor stood in a circle at the front entrance, saying their goodbyes.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow?" Taylor mentioned.
"Of course."
Connor nodded, then put his arm around Jude's shoulder. "C'mon, let's go."
They walked across the street to Lena's car. It wasn't long before Connor opened the door for Jude and entered after him. Lena looked back at both of them, opening her mouth.
"Hey, how was the movie?"
"It was alright. I found it pretty predictable."
"I figured, how about you Jude? Did you enjoy the movie?"
Connor cut in before Jude could answer his mother. "Yeah he did, Jude was so brave. I gotta give him props."
He nudged Jude's shoulder with his own and grinned. A curl formed around his lips as he smiled back at Connor. Jude knew what Connor was trying to do, and he couldn't help but thank him with the sincerity in his eyes.
"Sounds like you three had fun tonight."
"I wouldn't trade it for anything."
She took one last look at the two of them, then placed her hands back on the steering wheel.
"Now, let's go home."
Jude's POV
Mama closed the front door behind her as we came into the house. Connor and I went upstairs to my room, interrupting Jésus from his sleep. He threw a pillow in my direction but I swiftly dodged the object."Was that really necessary?"
"I was trying to get some sleep, but you two woke me up."
"Well, we just got back from the movies."
Jésus shot up, his back now resting against the wall. He seemed curious and asked, "What movie?"
"Unfriended."
"Really? How'd you guys get in? Isn't that movie like rated R?"
My eyes widened at the last words that left Jésus's mouth. It dawned on me that he was actually correct for once. How did we get into the movie? I gulped before telling him, "I guess they thought Connor was an adult."
"You're probably right."
Jésus shook it off and crawled back under his blankets. "Now let me sleep." he begged.
I was taken by Connor as he pulled me into the bathroom with him. He closed the door and stood in front of me, frowning. "Do I really look older than I appear?" Connor asked.
"I mean, yeah. Is there something wrong?"
"No, not at all. I guess I just never noticed."
"It's OK, there's nothing to be ashamed of. You shouldn't worry about your appearance and how others perceive you, just ignore them."
He smiled, then grabbed me closer towards him. "I love you, you know that?"
"I know."
Connor looked down at my lips, biting his own. A blush swept across my cheeks, the color of red taking over me. The space between us was short, our noses practically touching.
There was a knock on the door before Connor could make another move. He groaned, wanting to continue. I shook my head at him and chuckled. "Who is it?"
"It's Mariana."
She opened the door from the outside and entered quietly. Mariana's eyes lit up as she spotted Connor in the bathroom with me.
"Oh, hey Connor!"
"Hey Mariana."
"What brings you here? Wait-did I interrupt?"
He laughed, looking down at his feet. "Kinda, yeah."
Mariana squealed at his answer and winked at the two of us. "I'll be in my room." She raced to the door and left.
Connor darted his eyes back at me, raising his eyebrows. "Where were we?"
"I don't know, you tell me."
He picked me up off my feet, holding me tightly against his chest. Our foreheads touched as Connor held me in his arms.
"I think I remember now."
Connor's lips collided with mine, the feeling of my heart pouring out of my mouth. A smile grew on his face while we kissed. Connor found it quite natural to show his love towards someone, given the fact that he's had more experience than me.
After our impromptu make-out session, Connor put me back down and traced his fingers over my cheek.
"I'm so lucky."
I smiled at him, knowing I was lucky too.
We exited out of the bathroom and walked downstairs together. Mama was in the kitchen on the computer, checking up on unread emails. She focused her attention away from the screen and looked up at us.
"Hey, are you boys hungry? Do you need a snack?"
"No, we're fine."
"Okay. Just let me know if you two need anything."
Connor and I nodded, then sat on the couch in the living room. It was silent but nowhere near awkward. I was just glad to be in his presence.
The doorbell rang, forcing Lena to get out of her seat and open the front door. She cleared her throat as she let the man inside. Connor didn't look too pleased either when his eyes found sight of the person standing near the entrance. I gripped his arm tightly when I recognized the man myself.
It was Connor's dad, Adam.
