The end of the day my mom said that everyone needed to be home right after school because she had 'super important news' that she needed to share. I was hoping maybe I could skip it but my mom said there would be no arguing. The final bell rang, I sighed and started walking down the hallway towards the double doors that lead to the outside courtyard. The sun was beaming down on my face as I exited the building. It felt so nice to be outside, especially after such a long day. I stood outside as I soaked up the sun. Someone bumped into my shoulder as I stood there.

"Oh I'm so-" The person said as she turned around but as she caught a glimpse of me her panic faded and a sneer overtook her freckled face. I sigh as Aurora turns fully to face me, her long ginger hair moving towards me in the wind. It doesn't make her look any less gorgeous though.

"Hey Amber," I say, trying to move past her. She sticks her arm out blocking my way.

"Oh no no, you aren't leaving just yet now are you?" She snickers

I just want to go home at this point. Even though I would literally be anywhere else. She continues to look at me until I finally ask what she wants.

"Ohhh well nothing really, just for you to admit that you are a loser with a zero percent chance of being in our group again."

I smile to myself, that's all she wants? Easy enough.

"Fine, I'm a loser, can I please go now?"

She sighs, "Ugh you're no fun anymore Ana"

I wince at the nickname "You have no right to use that anymore Amber. Leave me alone."

I storm past her and walk the way towards my house. I can feel her eyes beaming into the back of my head. But that's fine. If she wants to act so childish then that's up to her. She can go crazy.

Once I got to our apartment building I saw my sister Lyra leaning against the wall outside. Her black hair seemed to flow as it normally did. Her heterochromatic eyes of green and blue seemed to be sparkling in the low sun. Lyra looked up from her phone and saw me coming and started to walk towards me. "

Why are you so late?!" she hissed at me as I walked up the few steps in the front of the building.

"Mom flipped out on ME and I was so close to being grounded." As we got to the elevator she turned towards me. "Seriously Oriana, you can't keep expecting me to lie for you. I have other things to do besides that."

I pressed the button for level 4 and the doors slid shut.

"I know and I'm sorry Ly I got held up by something at school" She rolled her eyes and looked down at her phone. Although she was younger she had always been the prettier sibling. We had the same dark hair color but her's was more silky and straight while mine was sort of curly. Her eyes brought such unexpected beauty to her as well. I like my blue eyes but sometimes I wish they were more exciting. We walked into our apartment and our mother made us sit down on the couch.

"Ok everyone, so the big news I wanted to share was... I'm getting married!"
