"Wait what?!" I exclaimed in utter disbelief. I knew my parents were done with their marriage but there was this part of me hoping, longing, for Dad to come back. Whenever I got hurt as a kid he would always make these funny faces at me while Mom cleaned the wounds and put on band-aids. They were a team. MY team. Once Devon (Mom's boyfriend) came into the picture my imagination bubble deflated a bit but I still believed Dad would still come back. Now that they are going to get married my bubble popped completely. Lyra squealed and ran to hug Mom. At once she started asking a million questions about the wedding. I couldn't believe she was ok with this! This man came into our lives about a year ago and they're already getting married?! My blood boiled, and I began to lash out.

"Lyra. How in the world are you ok with this?! And Mom, how could you say yes?!! I told you I didn't like Devon but here you go marrying him! Why do you never take what I say into consideration?!" I was furious. My mom stood looking stunned while my sister seemed just as mad as I was.

"Why can you ever be happy for her?? When she told us she was going to start dating you completely pushed her out of your life for months! You are a selfish drama queen. Wake up Oriana! The world doesn't revolve around you and what you want!" She spat. It seemed like I had been stabbed in the heart. Lyra had never talked like that to me before and Mom seemed like she was about to cry.

Before anyone could say anything else to me I stormed out of the building. I didn't know where I was going but all I knew was that I needed to leave. My feet ended up taking me to a cafe on the other side of town. The shop was called Expresso Love. It was relatively new but seemed cozy and quiet inside which is just what I needed right now. I wiped my eyes before I went in. I hate when people see me cry. When I walked inside the bell above the door gave a happy jingle and the person on shift turned to greet me.

"Hello! What can I get for you?"

"Um, what do you recommend?" I asked timidly. Her eyes seemed to sparkle.

"I love the Vanilla Frappuccino." She said with a friendly grin.

I smiled and told her I'd take that and paid for my drink. I sat down and gathered my thoughts about the fight. I knew that a sweet drink wouldn't solve my problems but I sure as hell could try. Devon came into our household about a year ago. He never did anything wrong to me but I hated him, just the way he acted towards mom seemed so unnatural and forced. Like he was bluffing about who he was in front of me and my sister.

"Order for Oregon?" I got up and walked to the counter to get my drink. Nobody could ever pronounce my name right so most of the time I just use Oregon. Easier for them to say and spell. I smiled at the worker and walked back to my table. Right as I sat down the door rang again and a boy with dark dreadlocks walked into the shop. He wore a red shirt and jeans ripped slightly at the knee. He went up to the register and asked for an iced mocha. The boy seemed about my age and looked sort of familiar. He leaned against the counter as the worker made his drink. His brown eyes scanned the shop until his eyes fell upon mine. He smiled at me as if he knew who I was. I started to go back in my memory to see if I knew this kid from anywhere. I didn't. He walked over to my table and sat down next to me.

"Hey! You're Oriana right?"
