▬▬ CASSIE SMILED AS Paul fought with her crutches, they were at the diner and he was trying his hardest to put them where they weren't in the way but also so they were close enough for her to get to. "Stupid things." He grumbled as they clattered against each other, drawing the attention of the other customers to him.
"Paul, i-it's fine." Cassie told him, her hand on his forearm. "J-just lean 'em against the wall. My dad'll help me when I need them."
"Good point." He mumbled then put them against the wall and stepped back, his hands out in case they fell. "Okay." He let out a breath as he turned towards the girl and slid into the booth next to her with a smile.
"You're cute." She mumbled as she wrapped her arm around his bicep, laying her head on his shoulder.
"Yeah, I know." He grinned and she rolled her eyes, fighting off a smile as the waitress walked over.
"What can I getcha?"
"Um, I'll take a water."
"And for you?" She looked at Paul.
"Oh, I'm not staying. Thank you though." He told her and she nodded before walking away.
"Thanks for picking me up today." She moved her hand to his and intertwined their fingers.
"I remember you saying you were meeting Charlie and I figured you'd need a ride." He shrugged a little. "Besides, I wanted to meet Mike and Tyler, you know, see if there was anything I needed to be worried about."
"Really?"
"You talk about them a lot, I just wanted to make sure."
"And?"
"And what?"
"Did you find something you should be worried about?"
"Well, I am concerned about this murder list you have."
