Christmas at Malfoy Manor was... strange to say the least. His father was off doing, God knows what, but Narcissa was around for most of the break. She made dinner Christmas night and it was much different than my mother's cooking. As we ate the perfectly roasted turkey and freshly made rolls, I thought of my mother and Fynn, and what they were doing. Had Fynn stayed around? Were they still arguing? Maybe they worked it out and are spending the holiday together. I was pushing my food around with my fork on my plate while Narcissa spoke of all the gardening she wanted to do after winter was over. She was a much different person when Lucious was not around. She seemed happier without him. I raised my eyes to see Draco, who was sitting across from me, slowly eating, and watching me. I lifted my head completely to find that I had been spacing out and didn't hear Narcissa when she asked how my family was doing. I gulped and could feel my hands beginning to sweat. I couldn't tell her. It wasn't my place, plus Draco and I had not talked about that night, so I didn't know if he wanted his mother to find out.
"They are doing well, thank you for asking. Narcissa this turkey is amazing. I wish I could cook like this." I was trying my best to change the subject and Draco caught on.
"Yeah mum, you should teach Quinn a thing or two in the kitchen." He joked.
I stuck my tongue out at him and he raised an eyebrow at me, smirking. Narcissa stood up and giggled, taking all our plates from us.
"Wait until you taste the pie!" She said, excitement grew in her voice.
As she left, I looked back at Draco who was still smirking at me.
"You better watch who you stick that tongue out at, or I'll have to come over there and put it to good use."
My heart began to thump in my chest, and I caught my breath. He still made me so nervous and I loved it. His mom came back in the room carrying two different pies. She set them on the table in front of us and sat back down in her seat at the head of the table. When Lucious was gone, she was the lead of the house, so she sat in his seat. As she should.
"I didn't know what kind of pie you liked, so I made two. One is apple and one is cherry." She smiled, looking down at them.
"Thanks, Narcissa!" I beamed back at her. "I love cherry."
She grabbed a knife and cut a small slice of the cherry pie and placed it on a small dessert plate, handing it to me, then she cut a slice of apple and placed It on a plate, handing it to Draco.
"He has always loved apple, just like me." She said softly, still smiling.
Draco rolled his eyes and I laughed. We ate our pie in silence. I closed my eyes and took in all the flavors. It was amazing. Sweet and tart all at the same time. When I opened my eyes, Draco was still staring at me but he wasn't eating. Just staring. My eyes grew large as a wave of panic washed over me. What happened. What was wrong. Suddenly I realized he was staring at my lips, while biting his. This boy was turned on by everything. I rolled my eyes and decided to have a little fun. I took my fork and picked up a cherry with it. I slowly placed it in my mouth, wrapped my lips around it and pulled the fork back out. I licked my lips and used my thumb to wipe some of the sauce off the corner of my mouth, sticking it in between my lips and slowly sucking It off. Draco's eyes never left my lips. I glanced at Narcissa to make sure she wasn't catching on to what I was doing. She was finishing up her pie and cleaning up the mess on the table at the same time. Draco stood up from the table before I could blink which made me jump a little.
"Quinn, come help me with the dishes." He demanded.
I looked at him, his cheeks were bright red. Narcissa handed her plate to him and smiled at me. I stood up, grabbed my plate, and followed him into the kitchen. Once we walked through the door Draco was leaning over the sink with his hands gripping the sides of it. He took a deep breath before turning his head to the side to look at me.
"What do you think you're doing?" He muttered, irritated.
My stomach dropped and I set the plates on the counter, slowly walking up to Draco.
"Draco," I breathed, placing my hand on his shoulder.
Quickly, he spun around and grabbed my waist, throwing me up on to the counter. I let out a small squeal and he placed his hand over my mouth.
"Shhh, love." He smirked.
He dropped his hand and replaced it with his lips, at the same time he pulled my knees apart and snaked his hand down the front of my jeans.
"Draco!" I gasped into his mouth. "Your mom is in the other room!"
"You started it." He whispered.
He slid his finger inside me slowly.
"If you don't want her to hear you or come in here, I suggest you stay quiet." He whispered sternly in my ear.
I wanted him to stop but at the same time, I really didn't. I wanted more. I always wanted more of him. I grabbed his wrist with my hands and began to rock my hips against his hand.
"There you go." He whispered.
I could feel it building inside of me. My walls already began to tighten and so did my stomach. Suddenly he pulled his hand out and took a step back, staring at me with his eyebrow raised.
"Next time you want to tease me, just remember this." He grumbled, sticking his finger in his mouth, and sucking me off of him.
My jaw dropped and my stomach sank. I quickly jumped off the counter and buttoned my jeans back up, fixed my hair and cleared my throat. He let out a laugh and continued to grab the dishes. He placed them in the sink and turned it on.
"Now come help me, love."
"Next time you want to tease me, remember this moment." I cooed.
Then I turned around and sat at a barstool, watching him roll his eyes and begin to wash the dishes.
Christmas was over and it was time for classes to start up again. Not that I was excited about it. Umbridge was now in charge, and she had the Carrows teaching in the classes. They mainly picked on Gryffindor's, but we all had succumbed to their terrible ways one time or another. Harry was still suspicious of Draco, so we spent most of our free time away from others. During weekends we would travel out in town or go to is home when his father was gone. I don't think Draco was ready to face him after what we learned. I had seen Fynn around school, but he didn't speak to me anymore. He never looked my way and anytime he would accidentally make eye contact with me, it was like he was looking right through me. Not being able to speak to my brother made me sad but I knew eventually he would forgive me. A few months had gone by, and I waited every day for him to come around. It seems like it'll never happen though. Draco always reminds me that we are still family and no matter how angry he is, that will never change.
O.W.L's are In a few days and I have found that I am not worried about them anymore. Every day that I try and study, is another day closer to Draco having to kill Dumbledore. He finished the cabinet and that was the only thing left to do. He puts on a tough front, but I know him, and I know he doesn't want to do this. He doesn't want to really kill anyone. We have talked it over many times. Trying to come up with ideas of how to get around it. Most days I find him simply staring off into space and other days I catch him crying. It hurts me to see him this way. I try to be there for him as best I can but what all can I do? He usually tells me he is no good for me and that I should have stayed away.
"You jump, I jump, Malfoy."
Eventually he comes to his senses, but I don't know how much longer he can go on like this.
"I have a great idea!" I said excitedly in class one day.
Draco had his head resting on the table and slowly turned it upwards to look at me, with one eyebrow raised.
"We can curse him with something!"
"Like what?" He sat up now intrigued.
"I don't know. I haven't gotten that far but we can find a way to give him an object, a cursed object."
Draco looked down at the table and bit his lip for a moment before resting his head back down.
"That won't work. How will we-"He began to say before he perked back up again and turned his eyes to mine. "You beautiful girl."
"Uh- what?" I asked, confused.
"I know what I need to do."
After class he kissed me goodbye before he set off to his dorm. I wanted to help but he refused. He said he wasn't going to have me involved in it in case he gets caught. I knew there was no arguing with him but if he did get caught, I would be right there by his side. The rest of the day drug on and when it was over, I was glad to take a shower and climb into bed. I managed to make it to the shower and finish getting dressed when I could hear commotion outside. I walked into the hall, sucking in sharply as the cold wind hit my face and wet hair. Students were running up and down the hallway, chatting about something that had just happened.
"She was cursed." One student whispered.
"I heard she was going to take it to the headmaster." Another spoke in shock.
My stomach flipped and my throat went dry. He had done it, but what had he done exactly? I ran to the Slytherin common room and when I walked in, he was sitting on the couch, still in his black coat and fur cap. He had his feet up on the table and his head leaned back against the couch, his eyes were closed.
"Draco?" I softly spoke, in case he was asleep.
He quickly turned his head to look at me and shot up, darting over to me.
"It almost worked." He said with irritation in his voice. I could hear a slight bit of guilt.
"I got a cursed necklace and cursed Madam Rosmerta to get it to Dumbledore." He began to explain, taking my hands in his. "But she gave it to Katie Bell, that stupid girl. She must have touched it."
My eyes grew large.
"No, no. she is ok. And don't worry, they are questioning potter, the mud blood and weaselbee. They don't suspect me." he tried to calm my nerves. "It almost worked. Maybe, if we come up with a different idea, a different plan, this could actually work." He grew excited.
It was nice to see him feeling something other than guilt, but he was excited about cursing our headmaster. My emotions didn't know what to do.
"What is it?" he asked. "You look upset."
I looked up at him and realized I had been furrowing my brow. I changed my expression to try and look more understanding.
"No Draco, nothing is wrong. I am just upset it didn't work." I lied.
"It will Quinn. We will figure it out."
I had to remind myself that he wasn't excited about what he had to do. He was excited about the fact that he may not have to do it with his own hands. Draco kissed me goodnight and went off to bed. I drug myself to my own room and when I got there, I threw myself down and stared at the ceiling. How could I figure this out? How could I help him? I laid there for what felt like hours before I finally drifted off to sleep.
The next few weeks flew by faster than what I thought they would, seeing as how we had O.W.L's. I felt good about my tests and exams, but Draco could care less. I don't blame him. It was now time to take a break from classes and go visit our families once again. I knew my mother still didn't want to see me and my brother had basically pretended I was never born so we decided to go to Malfoy Manor.
"We can go anywhere in the world, yet you choose to stay at my house?" Draco scoffed as we sat down in an empty compartment.
"Hush." I quietly tease him. "Your mother asked us to come by anyways."
"Yeah, come by, as in, stop for a time then leave." He plopped down in the seat and folded his arms over his chest.
I sat next to him and placed my hand gently on his knee, smiling at him.
"Where else would you like to go Draco?" I queried.
"Let's go see the world. We can go anywhere. What about Spain? I hear it is warm there."
Zabini and Pansy wandered into the compartment and sat across from us. Pansy and I scoffed at each other and Zabini raised his eyebrow at Draco who didn't seem to notice. I smiled at Zabini and handed him a piece of licorice that I had bought from the treat cart. Well Draco bought it for me, but I returned the favor with a kiss.
"What's up with you, mate?" Zabini asked Draco.
"He is upset we have to go see his mommy." I teased.
Draco rolled his eyes and looked out the window, still slouched down with his arms crossed. Brat.
"Well Draco, if you wanted to come to my house, we are throwing a party over the break." Pansy joined in.
I shot a look to her and Zabini stared at me, probably making sure I was not about to curse Pansy. Draco lazily glanced at her then turned his attention back out the window without saying anything to her.
"Blaise will be there." She said innocently, looking over at Zabini.
I turned my glare to him, and he shrugged his shoulders and smiled. Draco looked over to me then at him and rolled his eyes.
"Fine." He mumbled.
Pansy began to clap her hands in excitement and stuck her tongue out at me.
"Watch it Parkinson or I just might practice my imperio spell on you." I pulled my wand out and pointed it straight at Pansy's throat. "I'm curious to see how high you can jump from the top of the moving train."
Zabini began to shift his glance between her, and I and Draco slowly sat up in his seat.
"Draco. Control your-"
"Ah. Watch it, Pansy. I don't think she is joking. She did get all A's in defense against the dark arts." Draco smirked.
He turned to me and placed his hand on my wand and slowly lowered it. I obliged without taking my eyes off Pansy. Pansy rolled her eyes and threw herself against the seat, turning her attention out the window. I looked over to Draco then Zabini who were both staring at me with worry on their faces. I shrugged my shoulders and went back to eating my candy.
Finally, the train stopped, and everyone made their way off. Pansy pushed past me, ramming my shoulder in the process. I gritted my teeth, clenched my fist, and took a step towards her but Draco grabbed my waist and Zabini grabbed my arm, causing me to stop.
"Easy there tiger." Draco laughed. "She is not worth it."
"Hey, isn't that what Weasley said about you before Granger punched you square In the nose?" Zabini joked.
Draco flashed an angry look at him, and I let out a loud laugh.
"Oh, piss off, Zabini." Draco shouted as Blaise ran off.
We finally made it to Malfoy manor, and I was nervous. I have been here a few times but every time, my stomach would drop entering the house. I didn't want to run into Lucious. I still hated him for what he did to my mother. Knowing that this was my brothers- my brothers' father. Just thinking about it made me want to throw up.
And I did.
"Quinn!" Draco shouted, worriedly. "Are you ok?"
I held my hand up so he wouldn't come any closer as I puked again. I nodded to let him know I was fine. After a moment, I stood back up and took a deep breath, closing my eyes.
"I always get so anxious coming here." I admitted.
"Everything will be ok. Even if he is here, we will face it together. You jump, I jump, remember?" he wiped my hair out of my face and pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped my mouth. Of course, he has one in his pocket.
I nodded, cleared my throat, and followed him inside. A house elf opened the door for us and greeted us as we walked through. Draco placed our trunks down by the stairs and looked around the room, as if he had never been here before. He held out his hand without looking at me and I took it, watching his face the whole time. He held his finger to his lips and paused for a moment. I couldn't hear anything, so I stood and waited for him to tell me what was happening. After a moment, he began to walk to the kitchen, dragging me behind him. Once we stepped inside, we could see the room was full of death eaters. Bellatrix was there along with a few other men, one of which was Yaxely. He looked at me and gave me a dirty look before slowly grinning, licking his teeth and creeping his way across the room closer to us. Narcissa was standing by the sink trying to talk to one of the men when Draco dropped my hand and interrupted them.
"Mother, what is going on?" he sternly asked, puffing his chest out to look tough in front of the death eaters.
"Draco, it's your father." She whined. "He has been arrested."
Her and Draco began discussing the details of what had happened when I noticed Yaxely standing next to me, leaning against a barstool. His eyes traveled from my feet, up my legs and to my waist. I dropped my hands in front of me to cover my body and began trying to push past people to get to Draco. The room was so full, I could barely make out his white hair. Yaxely grabbed me by my waist and pulled me back to where he was now sitting. I fell on top of him, sitting on his leg. He reeked of alcohol and mold. I gagged at the thought of him touching me. He put his lips right next to my ear and I could feel his hot breath blowing against it.
"I never did get that payment for letting you out of that cell, girl." He hissed in my ear.
My eyes grew large as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me in closer to his chest, placing his lips on my neck.
"DRACO!" I screamed.
Suddenly, Draco turned his head and was next to me before I could blink. He ripped me from Yaxely's grasp and punched him in the nose with his other hand. He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me in close to him. I gripped my hands around his arm and clenched my eyes shut, letting him lead me out of the kitchen. I could hear the commotion of the men laughing and cheering as Yaxely fell to the floor.
"Are you ok?" Draco huffed.
I nodded and squeezed his arm tighter.
"You can let go now love, were in my room."
I opened my eyes to find us standing in the middle of his bedroom. I hadn't even noticed we walked this far, let alone up the stairs. I dropped my hands from his arm and turned to face him.
"What happened?" I asked, trying to take my mind off what just happened.
"Fucking Potter. That no good twat. He got my father thrown in Azkaban." He grumbled through his clenched jaw.
"What?" I gasped.
Hearing that was hard. I hated the man and I know Draco did too, but he was too prideful. It hurt him. It was his father after all.
"It's fine. My mother will get it straightened out." He said, closing his eyes and running his fingers through his hair. "I should go back down there and shove my wand up Yaxely's ass though."
I laughed and wrapped my arms around him, resting my head on his chest.
"I'm ok Draco." I reassured him.
That night we stayed in Draco's room. We watched the stars from his window and read books. I sat on his floor, and he laid his head on my lap while I told him stories my dad used to tell my brother and me. We talked about our trip to Spain and what our future holds.
"Do you want kids?" I softly asked him as I ran my fingers through his hair. He was still laying in my lap, looking out his window while I studied every line on his face.
"Someday." He answered after a moment of hesitation. "Someday, when this is all over, I want a house. I want it to be far away from here. Somewhere warm where we can see the stars every night. Where the air is empty, and no one is around to tell us what to do."
I could see the dream forming in his head as he spoke, like he had never thought about it before this moment.
"I want to fill that home with kids. I want to raise them better than how I was raised. Show them love and kindness." He continued. "What about you?" he turned his gaze up to me.
"I want two. A boy and a girl. I also want a dog." I replied.
"No. No that's not good enough." He stated, looking back out the window.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.
"I want a big house, but I want it to be full of laughter and love and memories. I want there to be things in each room that remind us to be happy. I want pictures on every wall of every time we smiled. I want a big porch that I can sit on every morning and every evening and write or read. There must be a garden, full of flowers and fruit trees that way I can spend full days out under the sun and never get hungry. I want my kids to know happiness. I want them to know their parents loved each other and when the day comes when they have to say goodbye to us, it won't be sad. They will know we loved them, and we were happy." I opened my eyes and looked down at him.
He was sitting up now, staring at me.
"You said, we." He whispered.
My heart began to thud in my chest when I realized I had been imagining Draco and me. Now he knew it too. He leaned forward and placed a soft, gentle kiss on my lips. He pulled back and rested his forehead on mine, closing his eyes.
"I want, we." He smiled.
That night was the best I have ever slept. Draco was wrapped around me, breathing heavily in my ear and I was home. No matter where we were, if I could see his eyes, I was home. We spent a few days there, mainly in his room. He didn't want me down around the death eaters and I didn't want to be without him so there we stayed. Tucked away in his sheets. We talked more about what we hoped for the future. We also talked about his father.
"That ass can stay there." He mumbled.
We were laying naked in his bed. He was on his back, and I was on his chest. He was running his fingers through my hair as I drew shapes on his stomach.
"He can rot there for all I care." He continued.
"Draco." I whispered. "You don't mean that."
"Oh, and why not? After all he put me and my mother through, your mother and even you, he deserves it." He seethed.
Draco was right, he did, and I was happy he was there, but I knew deep down that Draco feared it. What did this mean for him? Would he have to take over his father's affairs for the dark lord? I tried not to think about it.
"Let's go to Pansy's house. The party is tonight." I jeered.
Draco looked at me like I was crazy and raised an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and sat up, looking down at him.
"Come on, it will be fun." I smiled at him.
"This is not some kind of ruse to kill her Is it?" He questioned.
"If it was, would you stop me?" I teased.
He acted like he was thinking about it for a moment before sitting up and grabbing me, causing me to squeal in delight. He threw me down next to him and leaned over me, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear and placing a kiss on my nose.
"Fine. We will go. But I will not hang out with anyone other than you and Zabini." He argued.
"Deal." I kissed his nose this time.
He stared at me and placed his hand on my cheek before leaning in and kissing me softly. After a moment of holding the kiss, he slipped his tongue in my mouth and we began moving our heads back and forth rhythmically. It was soft and it was passionate. After a few moments I felt him pressing his hips against mine, causing me to spread my legs and let him fall between them. He took his hand and began slowly moving it from my cheek, down my shoulder to my stomach, then down to my waist, past my hip and up my thigh, stopping at my knee, pulling it up around his waist. He began to gently rub my thigh with his hand, and I let out a soft moan. He broke our kiss and stared at my face while slowly sliding himself inside of me. I rolled my eyes and he watched. He began to slowly thrust himself in and out me. This was new. This was slow and gentle. I liked it. I wrapped my arms around him and dug my nails into his back. His hands began to travel my body. Rubbing my thighs, my breast and grabbing my waist. Every touch was electric and made me lose it a little more, and he watched. I moaned and began to rock my hips against his, and he watched. The feeling began to build, and I raised my other leg and wrapped it around his waist as well. He bit his lip and then crashed them hard against mine. I grabbed the back of his head and pulled him in for more.
I wanted more of him. I needed more of him. If the world ended tomorrow, I would die happy knowing that I was with him. I understood what my mother meant when she said
"...When we were together it was like the world was right. Like us being together was the reason it turned."
I could feel my stomach beginning to tighten and I threw my head back. Draco pressed his lips against my neck and let out a moan. I looked back at him, and his lips were parted slightly and his hair was a mess. I squeezed my legs tighter around his waist as he continued to thrust himself inside of me.
"Fuck, Quinn." He moaned. "I'm going to cum."
"Me too." I whimpered.
He began to thrust harder until I felt him finish, which caused me to finish as well. He rested his head on my chest and we laid there for a few moments. Living in what we had just done. Feeling the emotions running through our veins. He lifted his head and studied my face.
"I can't wait for 'we'" he smiled.
