The Mikealson Family. (ON HOLD)

Chapter 1 - They're Back

Adeline is sitting in her office as she goes over some details for the miss mystic falls pageant, this year Jenna-Rose was going to be taking part, she would be 16 by the time the pangent would come around and would be able to participate while the twins were waiting until next year. 

As she finishes up and begins to file the paperwork away when the door to her office opens. "Fox, what have we talked about knocking?" She questions as she turns and is surprised to find Alaric and Caroline walk into her office as Adeline looks at them confused before it turns to concern as she finds the nervous expressions rested on their faces.

"What's wrong? Why do you two look like that?" Adeline questions folding her arms over her chest as if almost bracing herself for bad news but nothing could prepare for the very words that were to come out of Alaric's mouth in the next few seconds.

"The mikealsons are coming back to enroll Hope." He blurts out as Adeline is almost sucked up in her own thoughts her concerns going to one very specific night almost 18 years ago.

"What if he doesn't want it?" Adeline asks Caroline it had been a very tough few weeks for the girl, her siblings conspired in killing her best friend, which they succeeded. Her brother then died and her sister turned of her humanity it was safe to say the girl was hanging onto life on a very thin thread.

"Well then me and the rest of mystic falls will kick his ass." She tells me as Adeline giggles at her best friend, well female best friend. "I hope so, right now it seems like this may be the very thing that doesn't make me want to give up on life together. I mean after the last crappy weeks, it just seems, well like fate." Caroline squeals at her best friend she knew how hard it was for she was always there for everyone else no matter time or day she was one of the most selfless people she knew however recently it seemed like she was always the one getting hurt.

As Adeline waves bye to Caroline as the two head off in different directions, the blonde on her way to Stefan she hoped the two would confess there feelings for each other it was getting quite tedious for both Damon and Adeline to see there obvious and if they must say terrible flirting plus Adeline had a bet with Damon, one she was determined to win so much so that she considered sealing them in a room until they released the large amounts of sexual tension.

As the brunette shakes her head softly as she runs over to the Mikealson mansion she refrains from tearing up at the sight of one of the books that she had gave Kol , the boy had mercilessly made fun of the wizarding world portrayed in the Harry Potter series compared to the real world.

As Adeline quickly makes her way past ignoring the pile up of memories that threatened to collapse on her if she stayed there for a moment longer as her eyes met the blonde female mikealson, the two were close but nowhere near the level that she and Kol had connected, the two often joked that they were more like twins than she and Elena were but she still got along with the blonde original well at least she had but killing her sister had put a dampener on there relationship not to mention, Rebekah's obsession with the cure that she prioritized over grieving the loss of her own brother so things were awkward currently to say the least but they remained civil for the sake of Niklaus.

"Hey, Addy you know we haven't spent much time together we should go do something maybe I could tell you some of the stories you would've like of Kol when we were in our human years." She tells the girl as Adeline gives her a soft smile. 

"I'd like that Rebekah, just need to tell Nik something really important first. Then i'm all yours." She smiles at the girl as Adeline practically skips up the stairs with absolutely no idea what she is about to walk in on.
