They say God created the world in just seven days.
One day of rest
because who doesn't need to kick up their feet with a bottle of beer every once and awhile?
But I realized today
Looking at a world of destruction--
People caving so far their insides become their outsides
And houses wiped clean off the road,
That he could've used that extra day.
To be extra extraordinary.
Seeing this world of fear--
People left to there cowering corners
And their suicidal selves.
Seeing this world of sadness--
Abused sons, raped daughters
And fostered children.
Looking at a world that could've been great given one more day,
But just fell a little short.
What was that extra chance for?
Anything.
And it was wasted under Gods hang over.-s.l
