You were closed in the beginning,
You showed me your thorns,
But once I showed you the good and fed you your worth,
You began to bloom.

And your colors can bring smiles,
You make others day just by existing,
But you still hold your thorns.
Your pain can't be seen,
You get tired if you soak up too much,
and it's hard not to fall under the pressure of it all,

The sun makes you shine even when you dwell in the dark,
But I'll be your light,
You may not know but I always will be,
Let me help be your light,
You may hold your thorns,
You may dwell on your flaws,
You may get tired of holding to much,
But I'll be there to hold you,
Let me hold your thorns,
I don't care if I bleed,
I'll never leave you alone,
