Giorgio's POV

It has been two weeks since Karine laid into me about me ignoring her after our moment we had two weeks prior in the kitchen. So it's been one month from the initial moment we had. It royally sucks because Viktor has told me to make it right with her and I fully intend to but anytime I enter the same room as her, she immediately leaves the area so she doesn't have to be near me. All I want to do is be near her. I know she found the note I left on her nightstand because she told Viktor me being It has been two weeks since Karine laid into me about me ignoring her after our moment we had two weeks prior in the kitchen. sorry and actually proving I'm sorry are two totally different things and I do agree. But now Viktor is only talking to me when it comes to Mafia related business and that sucks because he told me I hurt her, he will handle me. This is my fault and mine alone simply because I just wanted to keep her safe from any and all harm most importantly I wanted to keep her safe from her father, Igor. As I'm in the kitchen going over emails containing stuff about Petrov cartel, and their connections.

As I'm reading the last email, I hear Karine walk into the kitchen with one of my guards. He's been the one whose gotten her to go out of the house to do shït, as she looks up from laughing with the guard she sees me. She gives the guard a peck on the cheek and he leaves. She's moved on and the only one to blame about this is me. I know I should move on too but I can't no matter how hard I could try too. I give her a small smile and she returns it. At least I have that to hold on too.

~Karine~ Good morning. I'm going to make some French toast and fruit want some?
~Giorgio~ I'm good thanks.

She goes in to work on her breakfast. Why do I feel like this is it for her and I? I sit here to give her some company but I feel awkward. I kiss her head and go to my office because something isn't settling right with me about this guard who is suddenly obsessed with Karine for the last month. But each time I run a background check on them, it comes up clean, a little too clean for my liking. But I need to figure this out before it's too late. He doesn't stay here with my other guards either.

One of the rules in the contract my guards sign is that they are to live on the grounds or I'm to know where they live off grounds in case of an emergency. I explain this odd feeling to Viktor and he tells me that this particular guard is about to leave for the day without notifying anyone of us. So Viktor immediately goes to follow him. I have feeling I know where he is going to be at.

Karine's POV

Something about this one guard isn't settling right with me. He wasn't initially jere when I first moved into Giorgio's house. He came to work with him about a week later. Giorgio's other guards live on the grounds in their own guest homes. Yes his compound has several small guest homes for the people who work for him, except Viktor. Viktor lives in the main house with the two of us. I don't know how to tell Giorgio that one of his guards is working against him and possibly for my father. Little does said guard know that I placed a tracker on him so I can know exactly where he goes when he leaves the house alone. As I'm sitting in my room, I hear Viktor tell Giorgio something but I couldn't make it out. So I open up my computer and pull up the tracker. Sure enough much to my dismay the guard has returned to my father's house. This how my father has known I'm never alone right now. I hear the front door shut. I keep the computer open but I end up falling asleep.

Viktor's POV

Sure enough I followed this guy straight back to Karine's fathers house. I watch him get out of his car and he walks up to Aksana who he kisses. Oh this is going to result in a huge ass war between Giorgio and Igor since they planted the drugs failed. I pull out my phone and immediately start taking pictures. Now we need to figure out how to tell Karine that the guard she trust the most is the one who is selling her out to her own father. After taking a few more pictures I drive back home. I walk inside and I check on Karine, whom is asleep. I go into Giorgio's office and I show him the pictures I got of them.

~Giorgio~ How do we even tell her without it appearing that I'm jealous of the guard being close to her because that is exactly what is going to happen.
~Viktor~ If I tell her she'll think I'm trying to make it up to her for you.

We sit in his office for several hours trying to figure out how to bring this up. But after a while the house is entirely too quiet. We would of heard Karine up by now. Giorgio goes to the kitchen and I check her room when it's empty. I walk downstairs and that's when Giorgio's phone pings with a text message. It reads:

I HAVE HER NOW WHAT?

That's when we realize that the guard returned and kidnapped her.
