"We mustn't forget Alfie's pull-up diapers. Get some for me, will you please?" Zayn said to Harry as they prepared for their journey to see Brooklyn.

"Do we have to take him with us?" Harry asked watching him wrap a sleeping Alfie in a blanket. "It's one clock in the morning, baby."

"Is that your reasoning why we shouldn't take him? That it's one in the morning?"

"That and as well as the fact we don't know what state Brooklyn is in, baby. He's in intensive care and tubes could be sticking out of him, everywhere. Imagine Alfie seeing him like that, that might upset him, so I don't think bringing him with us is a good idea." Harry made his claim.

"I hear what you're saying, Harry. And I'm basing my reasoning on the facts that Alfie had been following me all night crying whilst pining for his parents we had to clean cobwebs off a cot-bed, dragged it to our room for everyone to get any sleep. Him being there however doesn't mean he has to see Brooklyn in his worst state. What I am hoping for is him settling down once he's sees Niall. So please, get me the diapers." Zayn said looking up at him.

Harry bit his tongue. It was hard to argue with Zayn when his mind is already set on something, he sighed defeated. "Diapers. Okay." he gave him one more look before making his way out until it occurred to him he didn't know where the diapers were kept. He stopped turning around to ask him. "Erm_"

"They're in Leo's room." Zayn said knowing what he was going to ask. Once Harry had left the room, he exhaled then scooped Alfie in his arms, went to the lounge where Liam was on the phone getting updates from Shawn. He gently laid Alfie down on the couch took a seat besides him just as Liam ended his call. "Any news on Niall?" he asked.

"Still missing in action. Shawn said they're trying to locate him using the number plate. He explained how, if I'm being honest I didn't listen half of what he said he went all technical explaining. Bottom line is, they're looking. Once Louis gets here we'll be on our way." Liam replied plucking the hair on his brow, stressed.

"I'm scared. Like shit bricking scared." Zayn blew out air trying to exhale the anxiety out of him. "What if he doesn't make it, Liam?"

"Remember when Niall was in a coma? The wait for him to wake up was excruciating. Weeks turn into months. We never lost hope and he came out of it. We have to keep believing same will happen to Brooklyn_"

"What happened?" Zayn groaned seeing Harry walking in the room not only with diapers in his hand, but with Leo on his arm. He got up, meeting them halfway and cupped Leo's face with his hands. "It's the middle of the night, bub, why you up? Needed the toilet?"

"Papa woke me." Leo sleepily rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand. Zayn glanced over at his remorseful looking husband wondering why Harry couldn't have just tucked Leo back in bed who he'll bet would have then gone back to sleep in seconds.

"I wasn't as quiet as I thought I was." Harry said softly. In actual fact, Leo's room had been dark, he tripped over a teddy and had to steady himself on Leo's bed, waking him in the process.

"Alfie sick?" Leo asked looking at his little brother.

"He's not sick, bub, just having a bad dream. He's asleep now, let's not wake him up, okay? Don't want him crying again." Zayn raked his fingers in Leo's curly hair before opening his arms for Harry to hand him over, "Alright then, back to bed. I'll stay with you till you fall asleep," As Leo limply leaned on him, head on his chest, Zayn knew Leo would be out of count soon. Two minutes tops. "Say 'night to uncle Li and Papa."

Harry gave Leo three kisses on the forehead as the lad bid him goodnight with a little wave, eyes half closed already. It occurred to him as well, a little too late, that perhaps if he had rocked him to sleep there wouldn't have been a need for Zayn to have to do that.
