**Heed the tags, there are TW for implied desecration of a corpse as well as implied rape/non-con.

I know the timeline and abilities are not 100%. I wrote them this way in order to fit my story.**

Sasuke hisses under the foot of his assailant. His eyes darted around and gathered purchase on the clothing blowing in the wind above his face. As he grabbed and pulled, he felt the weight of his attacker shift. It was enough. He was able to roll away and get back to his feet. "You're going to have to do better than that," he said, smirking. He looked over at Sasuke and laughed, "Indeed, I may have gotten too old for even sparring. Excellent taijutsu exercise today." Sasuke relaxes and takes a deep breath, "That's enough for now. I'm going to head back, I have things I need to attend to." He gathers his things and heads down the overgrown path back towards his hideout. The old hermit watches him go, reminiscent, "Oh to be young again." He turns and walks back into his hut, thinking, "That young ronin's soul is dark, I hope he decides on a different path."

Sasuke entered his quarters and sits down heavily. It's nice training with someone who doesn't expect great things from him, or anything, really. It's been a long time since he's been able to distract his mind since...then. It's been two years, but the pain is fresh in his mind, like it happened yesterday. His story was doomed from the beginning, but it wasn't supposed to be forever. Once he, Naruto, Kakashi, Obito, and the others emerged victorious, (if you could call it that) against Kaguya, things shifted. He and Sakura found a life together, he had a beautiful, razor sharp daughter in Sadara. The Uchiha Clan was alive again. Then, when he was away on yet another selfish atonement mission, Ghosts came in the night, making their way to the farthest part of Konoha, the old Uchiha compound. Sakura had insisted she and Sadara live there, as an homage to his family. They were past Kakashi and the Anbu before anyone realized, and by the time they did, it was too late; they were dead. The Uchiha were slaughtered, just like before, only this time, it wasn't for the good of the village. It was for revenge. The Hokage, Naruto, insisted not to move them until he arrived. He nearly broke right then; they had made a spectacle of their bodies, posing them; they had been terribly violated. There were things done to them that should be done to no living creature, let alone a corpse. The rage inside him nearly cost the entire village yet again. He nearly killed Kakashi as it erupted from him, "You should have been here, you bastards! It's your job to protect the people within these walls!" Susanoo's form ripped from his enraged chakra and could barely be staved off. It took everything Naruto, Kurama, and his Sage Mode had to keep him contained. Even still, the Anbu had to combine forces from the outside. Finally, the medical ninjas were able to leech enough chakra from him that he collapsed. He'd nearly done to all of Konoha in a heart beat, what Itachi had done to the clan in one night, all those years ago.

Now, Sasuke walked the path of his old self, when he searched for Itachi for revenge, finding him, how he'd learned the sad truth of his meaningless revenge plot on his brother. "Not so different now..." he thinks. He's managed to track them here, past the land of Fire, to Tonika Village. He knows that they are Kabuto and Orochimaru sympathizers. Wanting to reanimate and recreate the sick experiments of his former teacher and his lap dog. Reanimation; the reason he was able to see Itachi again. Why couldn't Itachi just let him hate? Let him die doing something he believed in? Sasuke shakes his head, laughing, touching that spot on his forehead, it's not the Uchiha way. The truth must alway be, no matter what the cost. Even if it means protecting something so precious, it creates a lifetime of hate. Itachi had to come back from the dead to make it right. Sasuke needs to make this right too.

He already knows where; The Hole. He'd read about the battle that happened there. Heard about it from the villagers. The nine-tails clone, the eight-tails, Naruto finally gaining the ability to control the Kyūbi, Kurama, that was locked inside him.
As he deftly traverses the trees towards the center, Sasuke prepares himself. They're going to know he's coming, they must. He anticipates numbers. They know everything about him at this point. His life is an open book written by the scholars. If they're not prepared for him, they're dead. As he reaches the compound, he slows and listens. There is a constant hum that he's not familiar with. There are patrols, but he evades them easily. As he breaks the treetops, he sees them. He can barely believe his eyes. The hum is caused by movement of a standing army before him. There has to be at least a thousand men. He focuses, no, not all human, "Damnit, they've already reanimated hundreds," he says to himself. His face grimaces, "Bastards, I'll make them pay for what they've done." He leaps from branch to branch, getting ever closer.
