(Just a heads up, I know I spelt plain instead of plane. It was kinda a pun!)

Seth sat in the back of Grandpas truck, Kendra sat next to him. He watched as the trees flew fast quickly, he wished he didnt have to go this fancy dinner. Something seemed really off about the whole things to him. Something just didnt sit right to him, he couldnt put his finger on it. He just knew, something was off.

It was only Kendra, Grandpa, Grandma and Dale in the truck. Kendra sat in the middle of the three in the back. Seth had told her he could go in the middle, but she instisted that he didnt need to be squished.

Every since the war two years ago, he had noticed more and more as he grew up how protective she was of him. Of course, he knew she was just looking out for him. But sometimes it go annoying, it wasnt to bad, its not like she asks where he is every ten minutes. But she always seemed to take the worse things of situations for him. Like right now, it was an hour drive to the small air port. Seth wished he could get her to understand she didnt need to worry about him all the time. But he did for her to, he did protect her a lot too. But not like her.

Seth sat, his headphones on, music blasting into his ears. It was connected to his phone, Grandpa had gotten him and Kendra phones a few months after the war. It was a Iphone 11, it was one of the bests. There was a small crack near the camera, but other wise it stayed in perfect state. He had a plain white phone case. Kendra had a green floral phone case for hers.

Kendra tapped him on the shoulder. He turned his music off quickly, he placed his headphones onto his lap. "What?" Seth asked.

"Remember the first time we rode in Vanessas sport car?" Kendra asked with a smile.

"That was pure choas." Seth replied, he returned the smile. Kendra turned back to her book which she had been reading for the past half hour. Seth thought she looked really nice.
Seth put his head phones back on, feeling glum. It was starting to rain, the sky was grey and the wet forest around him made him feel at peace. He leaned his arm onto the window ledge and rested his cheek on it. He rubbed his eyes, he hadnt been getting very good sleeping lately. Though he never admitted it to anyone, his mind would never stop going back to the War. Specifically when he had been stabbed with the Unforgving Blade, the feeling of death and hopelesness always came back to him. He hated it, he just wish he could forget it all. Though he knew it would never happen unless he lost his memories again, which he did not want.

He closed his eyes as his eyes began to sting from his lack of sleep. He let his music absorb him, he tapped his foot lightly to the beat of his music. He always tried to listen to cheerful music but right now he just felt like allowing himself to soak into his heartsick feeling. Sometimes he tried to go back to his childhood before Fablehaven. When he could run around town with his small group of friends, climb on the school roof, annoy his old sister like a normal brother should. But his childhood had almost been ripped from him.

At his age most boys are out with girls, having friends, going to school, ding dong ditching, but he was stuck alone with no one his age. Except Kendra, he didnt mind Kendras company of course. But she was a girl and well...was his sibling. Of course he didnt mind that, but he wanted someone he could just chill with who was exactly like him. His age, same intrests. But if he did find someone who he became close to they most likely wouldnt know anything about magic. And that would be complacted to explain to someone, not to mention no one beileving him. Even if they did realize, they wouldnt undertand everything fully, not to his level anyway. They hadnt fought in wars, well probably never fought in general.

Suddenly something a woke him from his thoughts, Grandma was talking. Seth turned his music off before taking them off, he didnt want anyone worrying about him.
"Its just a few more turns and we will be there." Grandma said as he pointed to a turn they should take. Grandpa turned the truck and they went barreling down another rough road.
After a few more minutes of riding they came to a small hanger. It was so small he doubted it could fit three small planes. The rain was starting to get heavier and made it hard to see very far ahead. Grandpa parked the car in a dirt parking lot in front of the hanger, Vanessas car pulled up next to them.
Grandpa climbed out, Seth did the same. As they left the car he grabbed his bag and followed Grandpa along to the door of the hanger, everyone followed as well. Seth was quickly soaked with rain water, he was releaved when Grandpa knocked on a metal door and a man welcomed them inside.
"Stan! Good to see you, no time no see!" The man said, he had a thick brown mustache and wore a old fashioned cap. He was probably about fifty five and was fit. Seth was taller than him, Seth was taller than most people now.
