Me and Jaquan set off to a night of ice-cream (plus chocolate and a bunch of other very unhealthy stuff) eating and re-watching 'Mean Girls' in soft fluffy pajamas.

"Lina"! August yelled. I quickened my pace weaving my way through the crowded hallways. I had been avoiding him for a wile now. The whispers, glares and occasional notes in my locker went on for the last few days of school before winter break.

The bell rang and the hallways began to clare out. "Lina, please just at least talk to me" having not a lot of other choices I ran into the girls restroom and locked myself in one of the stalls. About a minute later I hear a loud thud of the door bursting open. "Lina!" August yelled. Doesn't he know this is the GIRLS restroom? Isn't this like meant to be illegal or something?. "Lina, I know your in here I can see your black converse."

I quickly tried getting on top of the toilet so he wouldn't see my shoes but being my clumsy self-I slipped, causing my foot to to fall into the toilet witch resulted in me trying to regain balance by grabbing onto the first thing I could. The toilet (flushing thingy) handle. Then I screamed.

Not a moment later the stall burst open and a wide eyed August watched me try to get my foot (which was getting flushed down the toilet) out of the toilet. "Hold on" said August failing to hide his laughter. He grabbed me by the waist lifting me over his shoulder and walked out of the restroom with my shoe and half my socks still it the toilet.

He didn't put me down. He didn't put me down! I kicked and stuff but he just kept walking down the hallways then out into the football field with me hunched over his shoulder. "How come you can scream? Oh, and it would be fairly nice if you stopped screaming now."

He walked into the bottom of the bleachers then set me down only to get me cornered by a wall. "We need to talk, and we're going to talk". Oh, they irony. Did he forget...?. "Okay, so I just realized how stupid I probably sounded." No shit. "But you still need to tell me why you keep ignoring me". I looked down at my one remaining shoe. Did he really not know? Or was this just some game of pretend.

I got my phone outside of my back pocket and typed "why?".

"Because it's killing me... Not talking to you."

I ignored the little fluttering thing my heart did.

"I miss you"

"Then why did you sent the text" tears started to prickle at the corners of my eyes.

"What? You think i sent that ?. Well that explains a lot" he laughed humorlessly." I didn't send the that. I wouldn't do that." Then who did?. It hit me like mashed potatoes.

Stella

I remember her thereat. How could I forget. Wow am stupid. Why would I think it was August?. "Lina?" August's voice broke me out of my thoughts.

"I don't want to be your charity case." Robot/phone said

Silence

" stop looking at me like that"robot/phone said

"Like what?" He whispered. I tried not to noticed our close proximity.

"Like I'm..."

"Beautiful? Yea I know"August whispered leaning in close so I was pressed up against him. I blushed trying to look anywhere but his eyes.

"Lina" I looked up at him feeling goosebumps rise up on my skin.

"I think I want to kiss you"

I took a sharp and noticeable intake of breath as my heartbeat quickened.

And he did.

It wasn't the kind of kiss you see in in movies. Or how most people our age would kiss.It was a simple kiss, gentile and sweet. A kiss that made butterflies go wild in my stomach and fireworks explode in my chest. A kiss that made my head go hazy and my knees weak.

It wasn't my first kiss.

It was just a kiss. So why did the way August looked at me after say otherwise?.

I was still sandwiched between the wall and August when we heard someone call "hey!, get back to class you darn kids!" August took my hands in his and we ran back to the main building of the school. Well, more like August running and me being dragged behind him like some kind of rag doll.

It was already time for lunch so he led me to his car and drove off to some unknown destination.

He never let go of my hand.

Sorry I keep apologizing for not updating but I've been really busy. May I remind you that none of this is edited (yet) so there is bound to be some typos.
