Defenders Bar. Philadelphia, PA. July 28th, 2018.
Steve holds Juliette in the low light of her office for what seems like hours. He wants to ask her what happened between Landon and herself but she finally stopped shaking. He picks her up and carries her bridal style to the couch on the other side of her office. Keeping her on his lap, while she buries her face into his neck.
His usually spicy woodsy scent tainted by all those women throwing themselves at him tonight. As if she isn't already disgusted by tonights turn of events she remembers what he was doing here and her stomach turns.
"Tell me what happened." He urges. "Did he touch you." Juliette reminds silent. "Please baby, I need to know. What did he do?"
Juliette swallows the lump in her throat. "He must have followed me back here. I thought it was you, and I needed ... some time alone with you. No one else would come back here so when I heard the door lock, I assumed it was you. And I was already taking my top off."
Steve's eyes flutter closed as his chin juts out, his teeth cutting into his bottom lip. "He saw you?" Steve forces out.
Juliette buries her face into Steve's neck again. "I thought you we coming in."
He takes a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. "Then what happened?"
"I turned away and put my top back on and when I turned around he was right behind me. He grabbed my arms and... he was so close I could feel his breath on my face. He told me he wanted to bend me over the desk and make me scream so you would hear me cum for him. He said you were a tool and he was a real man. He wanted me to beg for it."
Steve's grip on her thigh tightens. He looks up to see the team filing in one at a time. Sullen faces peer back at him as he continues to cradle her, having given them all a warning stare.
"He made me look at him, and then he tried to kiss me. He was pushing himself on me, I could feel him." She sobs into Steve. "So I head butted his face and kneed him in the dick. He left, promising he'd be back for me. That this isn't over and that I'm his."
Everyone drops their gaze, realizing how close they were tonight to something serious happening to Julie. If she hadn't fought back, how far would he have gone? "Why didn't you activate your tracker?" Bruce asks, the same question on Tony and Steve's mind. If she was in trouble why didn't she call for help.
"I did. No one came."
Steve rolls his eyes and pulls out his phone from his pocket. Sure enough, it's dead. "Christ. Baby. I'm sorry." He kisses her head, seeking her face but her hair falls in cascades around her.
"By the time Thor came, I'd already dealt with it myself."
"You did good baby." Steve rubs her back. But she shakes her head against him. "No I didn't, I panicked. I shouldn't have let him get so close. I shouldn't have let him touch me."
Steve exhales slowly and looks up to Tony. "Why weren't you notified?" He nearly yells.
Tony pulls out his phone and peers down at the screen, his face turning white. "I did. I just didn't know it." He looks up to Steve's angry glare. "I'm sorry Cap."
"I want to know how he managed to get into the bar tonight. Why didn't security stop him?! Aren't they checking ID's? I specifically told them to keep an eye out for Landon. How did this happen?!" He's yelling now. Furious someone let him in, he's not surprised he came, but he's enraged that someone missed him. Disguised or not. And he's mad at himself for not seeing him.
"I'll talk with security." Natasha states and prepares to leave the room. "I want who ever it was punished." Steve states as he watches her go, if he knows Natasha she'll get the information out of whoever let him in, no matter the cost.
