Chapter 2

(Y/N) P.O.V

Today is one of my last days in the restaurant. Ever since the incident I've had nightmares but they've been steadily going away. I've found a small apartment and managed to save up lots of money, not that that matters because in a few days I'll be taking the beacon entrance exam, although it is also the anniversary of the incident in a few days.

(Y/N): "Oh shoot the food!!"

Thank god, i almost burnt it, now i need to get this to the customer.

(Y/N): "Here you go, miss?"

???: "Blake."

(Y/N): "Well Blake, here is your tuna sandwich you ordered, and as an apology for the long wait time that will be on me."

Blake: "Really? Thank you."

(Y/N): "hang on, do i know you from somewhere?"

She looked almost scared by my question, oh maybe i seem like a creep, i gotta apologise quick!

(Y/N): "don't worry it's probably just me being stupid."

I could've sworn her bow moved as i said that, wait, her bow? NOW I know what I remember her from, she was the one in my dream that night.

Blake: "You know you just said that out loud right?

(Y/N): "I didn't, now I do." she smirked at that, but only for a moment before she began interrogating me

Blake: "So what happened in the dream?"

"I don't think you want to know." I said sadly.

"*coughs* what?!" she half yelled, a blush running over her face.

(Y/N): "no it's not what you think, it wasn't like that, i just saw you, in a very painful situation"

"I see" she said, blush retreating from her face.

"Then if you aren't gonna tell me about me being your dream girl, then what about the incident you mentioned."

Now it was my turn to blush, but it didn't last long before I began explaining.

(Y/N): "On the sixth of September last year my parents accidentally gave me their divorce papers as a gift instead of what they actually wanted to, so i ran away, my dad caught up to me a few minutes later to explain the situation, but then a man from the white fang walked up to him, and with no effort at all cleaved him in two in front of me, so i ran, ran all the way back home, or at least what was left of it when i got back all that was left of my home was ashes and rubble, turns out they had used burn dust to torch it, and then i saw a man, almost identical to the man who killed my father, watching gleefully as a Beowolf gnawed at the charred remains of my mother's head. And so I fought them. I managed to kill the man who killed my father but the other was too strong and I had to run. I've been working here for the past year so I could afford an apartment. Great birthday huh?"

Blake looked heartbroken.

(Y/N): "Hey, don't worry about it, it's not like you were responsible."

Blake: "Right, I know. I guess I'll see you around then."

I hadn't even noticed she finished her meal

(Y/N): "you too!"

I finally made a friend, this day might not be so bad after all.

Timeskip to beacon academy's entrance exam.

No one POV

(Y/N): I can't wait, I'm all geared up and ready to fight, i wonder what it will be.

Just then you saw, ruby rose, also here to take the entrance exam, to your knowledge you would be the youngest person there, maybe you should go talk to her, but who's that with her? Weiss Schnee, and she was yelling at Ruby, best not to get involved, even if you did know Ruby you didn't want Weiss to try to buy your island, like the Schnee family had tried many times before.

That's when a certain beautiful girl walked past you, it hadn't been long since you last saw Blake, and she looked just as amazing as ever, as she walked you found yourself eying her up, as soon as you realised how creepy it was you stopped and began to walk towards the atrium, as she walked away from the girls she was walking in your direction, she must have noticed your staring.

Blake: "(Y/N), i didn't think you were old enough to be here?"

(Y/N): "not really, my parents knew Ozpin and asked for him to give me a chance to take the exam early"

Blake: "I see, well good luck!"

"You too." you said excitedly.

You walked towards the atrium as the headmaster was finishing his speech, you then heard the headmistress Glynda Goodwitch tell you you would be sleeping in the cafeteria that night, to prepare for the exam the following morning, you obliged and went to the cafeteria to set up your sleeping bag, you noticed that yang was eyeing up all the boys and decided to tease her the way you had two years ago. You walked up next to her before slowly removing your shirt, ensuring her eyes were drawn as far down a possible to slowly have her follow the edge of your shirt until it reached your head before winking at her, the last time you did this Ruby and Qrow almost killed you but just as it was the first time, it was worth it. This time however you found that ruby had also been staring slightly.

Ruby: "I didn't know you'd be here (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "yeah well some strings were pulled and here i am."

Yang was still staring at you so you decided to be bold, you kissed her forehead to snap her out of it but that just made her stare even more, you didn't know what to do so you just started talking to Ruby.

(Y/N): "So Ruby, I saw your explosion earlier. What was that about?"

Ruby: "thanks for reminding me, it's not like i wanted to forget about it, happy birthday by the way."

(Y/N): "yeah happy."

Yang then began asking her about what she was writing, you tuned it out as you laid down, until ruby mentioned the girl from earlier. Your eyes shot open and you noticed they were already walking over to Blake, you walked over as well and set up your sleeping bag once again. You didn't know why you did it, seeing as you were sleeping next to girls you knew before and were now set up next to someone who was almost a stranger. But soon enough Blake blew out the candle and it all went dark. You had trouble sleeping in the dark since a year ago but this time you had a beautiful girl in front of you, so you stared at her sleeping face, for what felt like hours but was certainly only a few minutes.

Blake: "you know it's hard to sleep with you staring at me like that."

(Y/N): "I'm sorry i just have trouble sleeping in the dark"

Blake: "well when you do fall asleep make sure you dream of me again"

You could feel yourself blush at this but for some reason you felt comfortable. And so you fell asleep soon after.
