The Megoliath had yet to wake up, I was lucky, several of the mysterious orbs were untouched and unopened, only one was activated and aggravating the Grimm, it must have been why they were so keen to enter calmly but leave like bloodthirsty beasts, if the orbs were to go off, there's no doubt that Essen would be overrun, i needed to dispose of them, Blake had told me that they were built to attract Grimm, so if i could destroy the activated one and bring the rest back then we could potentially get to the bottom of this quicker. However, none of the thoughts that raced through my mind were useful, as in only a few moments, the orbs activated in their entirety. I had at most a minute before all the Grimm in the nearby vicinity were on me, thankfully, the Megolaith hadn't moved yet.

(Y/N): 'This cavern is pretty shallow, I won't have to worry about a cave in, I should focus on using Sanguin and destroying the orbs.'

The Grimm population that were entering calmly and only enraging when they were in the cave, seemed to be charging in, it gave me the perfect opportunity to use Sanguin from up high to blast away any weaker Grimm. One blast shot off and i felt a rocking in the cave, then another, and another, soon i had fired away the majority of the dust within Sanguin. The Megoliath was now fully awake, and seemingly unbothered by the previous attacks; the Orbs also seemed mostly unscathed.

Imp POV

We were fighting as hard as we could, Obsidian wasn't having much difficulty, however she seemed like she was struggling to make use of the hammer end of her weapon. Choke was the furthest from the fight, he was easily defeating Grimm, but, due to the cord choices, his throwing knives were ineffective. Selene was in her element, spikes would appear from the ground, sharp blades rained down on the Grimm, she was barely even using Winfrey other than to direct the ice. A Beowolf came down to slam me with its strong hand, I caught it easily, and used its force back on it: With a spin my hand was clenched in a ball and came down on the Monster's head.

The Grimm hordes were unrelenting, I was wondering where (Y/N) was when suddenly, the Grimm were charging away from the village. Suddenly, we heard large booms from where the Grimm were heading. The team gave chase, killing as many as we could on the way.

Selene was the fastest, she used the ice to propel her towards the hills. As suddenly as the booms began, they ended, the Grimm horde seemed to clear up significantly, and they all escaped into a cavern.

(Y/N) POV

I fired on the Megoliath, each shot seemed to stun it, even if only for a moment, but no serious damage was being sustained. After debating it for a moment, I decided that killing the Megoliath was a secondary priority to destroying the orbs. Using Ignis Tormentum, I slammed my fist forward; One down. Then again I put my arm through the ball; Two down. I had destroyed 6 orbs before the Megoliath was on me. Its hide was tough, but it would be vulnerable to the blunt force I could cause. I hadn't noticed the lack of other Grimm at the time, however, with this lack of Grimm, it gave me time, after several shots from the Dust power of Ignis Tormentum, The Megoliath collapsed to the floor, and perished in a cloud of black ash.

Selene: What should we do?

(Y/N): What about the barricade?

Selene: the Grimm all came here.

(Y/N): Take out those orbs!

It wasn't ten seconds before they were all rubble beneath the force of the ice.
