third person pov:

jess woke up that morning in pain. Her head was pounding, seeing that she got a punch in the face.

she could hardly remember anything that happened last night, the only thing she could remember was her and topper fighting, everything after that was a blur.

she sat up in her bed and looked at the clock next to her.

9 am.

she got out of bed to go to the kitchen but when she got to the kitchen she saw the sheriff sitting on the couch.

"oh peterkin, hey" jess said with a sigh.

"morning jess, is your brother here" peterkin said as she looked around the kitchen.

"oh um I'll go check if he's down in his bedroom" the young girl replied.

"john b get up" she said when she reached the bedroom.

"john b get your ass out of the bed" she said as she lightly tapped his face.

john b groaned as he rolled over to the brunette girl.

"what do you want" john b said to his sister.

"peterkin is here" she said.

"what" the brunette boy replied sitting up.

"peterkin-is-here" she said sarcastically slow.

john b stood up and headed to the kitchen where peterkin was, his sister following behind.

"sorry to break in on you like this but dcs called, they wanted me to check in on ye, see how ye are doing"

jess really didn't want to talk to peterkin, she was already in a bad mood so jess walked past the cop standing in the doorway and sat on the couch.

she wasn't listening to John b and peterkin talking, she was trying to remember what happened last night.

her thinking was cut off when she heard peterkin say "gun"

then it all started to come back to her.

the last thing she heard on the beach was a gunshot.

jj.

jj shot the gun, then he carried her home and then he stayed the night.

he most have left this morning because he wasn't there when she woke up.

when Jess came back to reality, peterkin was leaving.

when she left john b looked upset. jess hugged john b and the twins just sat there comforting eachother.

two hours later jj came over to see how Jess was doing.

"hey jb" he said as he walked into the château

"hey jj" john b replies in a grumpy tone.

but jj being jj didn't even notice john bs tone.

jj walked down the hall of the château until he got to jess's room.

she was sitting on the floor at the bottom of her bed.

she had a small speaker next to her playing taylor swift.

she was painting.

now jess was horrible at painting but it calms her down so she loves it.

when her and jj just became friends she painted him a picture of a sun. It was really bad but jj didn't say anything because he didn't want to upset her.
