"Come on, hurry! It's going to start soon!" Outer pulled you forward, making you trip a little as he dragged you around the city. He was planning on taking you both to your usual star gazing spot, but he said he found a better place. You put your trust into Outer and let him drag you across the end of the city, despite the aching pain in your legs you still continued onward with him.

Soon, you both came to a cliff. He had to grab you by the collar of your sleeveless shirt and pull you backwards to prevent you from falling off when he let go of your hand. You sighed and sat down carelessly next to him, still a few feet away though. You didn't notice Outer taking peaks at you every now and then, mesmerized by the way you looked while your face was tilted upwards, gazing at the stars above.

He was pulled from his trance when you smiled brightly and pointed to the sky. He looked up with you and formed another smile himself, the meteor shower had started. Sure, they weren't uncommon here, in fact they happened at least twice a day, but since you never had the delicacy of watching one, he wanted to take you to see one. Today just happened to be that day, and he couldn't have been happier.

What was made to be a perfect evening of just basking in each others presence was cut short by the sound of what would be a rift. You sighed, eyes drooping with worry at the thought of that horrid, glitchy voice screaming at you, while Outer visibly flinched at the sound. He turned around, expecting the worst. Had Error found you? If so, what did he plan on doing to you?

His eye sockets rested slightly, but not fully, when he saw Dream standing at the open portal, ushering others inside. Then, it hit Outer, monsters would be entering this AU and would be seeing you. He had to hide you, to shield you from what could be the end of you. He swore earlier that he was going to protect you no matter what, so he was going to do just that.

He stood up quickly and placed himself in front of you, failing to take notice of your head resting on your knees which were huddled against you chest gently. Outer held a calm expression, but his body was screaming at him to do something, anything to protect you from these new comers.

"Quick! Go inside now! This portal will take you to another safe AU!" Dreams voice demanded of the others. Your ears slightly twitched at the sound of a familiar voice, and your head lifted from your knees. You now took your eyes off the meteor shower and turned around only to be met with the back of you beloved friend.  You quickly stood up, easily towering over Outer, and looked ahead of you to see the familiar face that helped you brighten up earlier that day.

"Dream..?" You voice called out, making Outer jump and look behind himself only to see you. He visibly sweat dropped at this, you had now taken notice of Dream and since you were taller than him by a landslide, there's no possible way he could hide you now. The golden skeleton you had called out for had his head stand up in surprise, before turning around to see you. He smiled brightly, and you heart suddenly was swarmed with this unexplained warmth.

"Dream, what will you do..?" A new, yet familiar voice came through, dragging the attention of the golden skeleton. He tore his gaze away from you, and looked over to his companion, all the while ushering the other copies of him to get into the portal swiftly. Dream huffed with a hint of determination before deciding to answer his friend.

"I'll go back to XTale, I have to keep investigating!" He quickly answered, trying to keep his focus on the portal all the while speaking to his now empty friend. He huffed, before turning his skull slightly to see you looking curiously inside the portal. "I can feel a few positive feelings that will lead me there." He finished up for his friend. "You can continue your quest in a pacifist timeline of the next AU..." Dreams voice drifted slightly before he broke his gaze from you, now worryingly gazing at his friend. "Ink... Are you alright?" Ink muttered not a word as his white pupils glanced at the vial on his sash. Fell soon came over, giving him a curious look. He growled a little, making his eye lights disappear.
