Chapter Five

I woke up hours later, I was in the same position that I was in when Lindy left, huddled up and my head resting in my hands on my knees. I stood up and stretched, my muscles were sore from sitting there for so long. I went over to the shower and closed my eyes in irritation the minute I saw my reflection. My eyeliner had bled everywhere, I looked like some kind of melting panda bear. I took off my clothes and hopped back into the shower.

When I got out, I heard Fall Out Boy playing playing faintly in the next room, Stjepan must have made himself comfortable when I was passed out, at least he has good taste in music. I fowl dried my hair and looked in the mirror to make sure that I got all the black off of my eyes, when I was satisfied, I went into my room to put some clothing on.

I was in a lazy mood so I out on a black bralette on and my galaxy star wars leggings on. I went back to the bathroom and blow dried my hair and then put on a plain black beanie over it to keep the frizz down. I hated leggings because of the no pocket problem, but damn were they comfy. I went over to my full length mirror to check myself out. My stomach showed and my legs looked hot as fuck in these leggings. I grabbed the necklace that Lindy had given me for my birthday and slipped it on, it was a long necklace so it went all the way to my belly button, but it actually looked pretty good down there. Elvis always complains that I need to wear less revealing clothing, but I can't help it if I love my body so much that I want to show the world!

After applying a few coats of curling mascarra to my lashes and adjusting my beanie, I called it good and went down stairs to make some dinner for myself.

This house was pretty much a fend for yourself kind of place so I only made dinner for one. I cooked up some delicious blood sausage and eggs and poured some apple juice in a small cup. I would have gone to the table but I was too lazy to walk all the way over there. I picked up a forkful of eggs and shoved it into my mouth, the eggs were so good I almost moaned. I finished my plate quickly and set it in the sink. I went to take a drink of my apple juice but stopped when I felt someone watching me. I set the cup and looked around, but no one was there. I craned my ears to hear something but nothing sounded anywhere besides the faded song centuries by Fall Out Boy. I took a swig of my apple juice cautiously and began heading for the staircase. Something was watching me, but where the hell was it?

I entered my room just as my phone sounded on my bed, I picked it go and allmost threw it across the room when I saw who had texted. I set the phone down and grabbed my dagger from my backpack. I went to my door and opened it quickly, but no one was still there. I stepped out into the hallway and relaxed my shoulders when I saw Titan wagging his tail happily outside my door. I looked around the hall one more time before going back into my room and locking the door.

I couldn't go to sleep that night, I couldn't stop thinking of the text from Stjepan...
