I wish I trusted like I once did.
The kind of trust that wasn't naive, but was so pure.
So full of love and joy.
A trust of unbroken bonds.
Ones without heartbreak.
A trust so untouched not even the universe could move or interfere.I wish I trusted like I wanted to.
But I trust everyone as if they're my next enemy in line.
As if everything is going to fall apart.
I trust as if it were my last resort.
Because it is.I wish I trusted enough to let my muscles loose. For my jaw to unclench and for my cement walls to crumble.
I'm so tired of keeping this self made prison up.For protection that doesn't even help.
I want to trust like I'm not alone anymore.
