CHAPTER 4-Friend or Lover

Luca's POV:

I walked down the empty streets. It was a beautiful morning, and I just had to get outside to get some fresh air. Yesterday was chaos, and I just had to cleanse my head a bit. I went down to the beach and let my let down in the cold water. It tickled a bit as my scales appeared. I took a deep breath and laid down in the sand. Alberto was the only thing that filled my mind. Did I love him in that kind of way? I knew I loved him as a brother, but more..? I sighed. Feelings were hard. Suddenly I heard running behind me.

" LUCA! LUCA!"

My heart started to beat faster. It was Alberto. I turned around and saw him running up to me stopping halfway to catch his breath.

" Lu--ghhaaaa! Luca, I'm so sorry for yesterday, I- ghuuuaa-" he tried to say as he struggled for air.

" Um, it's... okay..." I sheepishly said." It's fine, it really is."

" You sure? I don't want you to feel uncomfortable," he asked me.

" No, it's fine..."

We stood there in silence for a minute, before I spoke up:

" D-did you mean it?" I asked.

" Mean what?" he asked back.

" Do you really love me? More than a friend?" I asked again.

He didn't answer, he just looked away.

" I..." he started." I... I just... I... M-maybe... I just... I don't know, a-and you probably don't even feel close to the same, but-"

I cut him off by hugging him.

" I don't know..." I told him." I'm just scared that if it didn't work out, we wouldn't be able to go back to normal."

" Same..." he said.

I felt a tear run down my cheek, then another, and another.

" Hey, hey, it's okay," Albero reassured me." I'll wait for you until you're ready, even if that ready never comes. I'll be here for you, okay?"

" Okay..." I cried.

We let go and just looked at each other. I immediately got lost in his beautiful green eyes. He was just so... perfect...

" Come on, let's go back," Alberto told me, and I nodded.

We slowly started walking back to our place, but something felt different. I had this weird feeling in my body again, just like the night before. I tried my hardest to hide it, but he definitely saw that something was wrong.

" Are you sure you are okay, Luca?" he asked, which just made the feeling worse.

" Yup! Just fine!" I smiled back at him.

He looked concerned, but shortly after dismissed it. We went back to the flat and sat down on the couch. We turned it on and found something fun to look at, since we hadn't anything else to do. After a while we saw Giulia come out of her room with fancy clothes on.

" Oooo! Someone's looking fancy, any reason?" Alberto asked.

" Umm, it's nothing! Eh, I'll be back by tomorrow, I'm going to do... work stuff," she said before running out of the flat.

" I bet she's going to get laid by her bf," Alberto smugly whispered to me.

I couldn't help but to laugh at that.

" You're such a dork," I said and playfully hit his arm.

"oMg cArEFuL dAddY Or i MiGHt cUm!" he jokingly said.

" Ayo, just stop that shit right now!" I laughed, holding my fingers in a cross symbol." Stay away horny spirit that possesses my friend."

" Just a friend huh?" Alberto scoffed, picked me up and passionately kissed me." Can just a friend kiss you that good?"

I got so choked I didn't know what to say. Albertos smile dropped.

" D-did I go too far? I-I'm sorry," he stuttered.

"N-no, i-it's fine," I told him, smiling weakly.

He smiled back too, before we went back to watch the movie. DAMN he is hot...
