Long ago in a hidden kingdom just beyond the mountains lived a courageous prince. He was dashingly handsome with dark brown hair and radiant blue eyes. Everyone throughout the kingdom adored him, and admirers came to the castle everyday to give their blessings. Not only was he handsome and charming, but he was the bravest prince the land had ever known. He led his own Knights into the caves of dragons and battled the fiercest warriors to protect his subjects, but this Prince was not happy. His life would seem perfect to anyone who got a glimpse of it, but something was missing.

The kingdom was in danger. War was approaching. The only way to save the kingdom was with an alliance. An alliance that could only be formed through marriage. The Prince would do nearly anything for his kingdom, but this is where he drew the line. He told his father, the king, that he simply could not marry if it were not for love. The king ignored his requests and the Prince was devastated. "If being a Prince means never having true love" the Prince stated, "I don't want to be one anymore." With that, he threw his ruby-jeweled crown on the marble castle floor and ran out to the stables.

The horses sang their usual chorus of neighs as the Prince walked down hay-covered hallway. He sat on a box near the stable of his favorite steed and silently thought. He thought about a life outside of his castle walls. He thought about what it would be like to make his own decisions and for once get to choose the path he wanted to take not rather than the one he had to. He thought about what it would be like to be free. "That settles it." He said to himself as he grabbed a supply bag from one of the stable posts and combed his hair back. "I'm getting my freedom no matter what the price is.
