"Help! Help! Please someone help me!" The Prince woke to the sound of what seemed to be a young girl's cry. He rushed to the scream as fast as he could, for he could never leave a child in despair. The trap was nearby so he didn't bother with his horse, but he sprinted just as fast. Once he got there, he couldn't believe what he saw. There, trapped under a net, was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen, but this was no creature. It was human aside from one element. The Prince stared in awe at the magnificence of the child's wings. "Are you just going to stand there?" He heard the fairy say. She looked as though she couldn't have been older than eleven. Finally he snapped out of his thoughts and apologized immediately. "I'm so sorry! It's just that I am starving and I was trying to catch a deer, I promise!" The fairy rolled her eyes and said, "That's great. Can you get me out of here now?" The Prince nodded and quickly undid the trap. "Thank you," she said. "Now, you said you needed food right? Despite the fact that you trapped me, you also saved me so I owe you." "No. You don't owe me anything. In fact I should owe you. I hurt such a beautiful young woman. Why should I get rewarded?" The fairy giggled. "Oh nonsense! Follow me."

The fairy led the Prince through the magical forest and pointed things out along the way. The Prince was quick to notice the fairy walking. If she has wings, why is she walking, he wondered. As if the fairy read his mind, she responded to his thoughts. "My name is Mira. You are probably wondering why I couldn't get out of the trap using my wings and why I'm not flying now. You see, I was out flying and saw an animal in the forest that I had never seen before. I had to go check it out! I also figured it would be a great opportunity to try out my flying tricks so despite the rules about staying inside The Ivy Fairy Kingdom, I went ahead and tried it. Halfway there, I lost sight of the animal, but I still wanted to practice my tricks. I flipped through the air, graceful as ever until my wing got caught on a branch and I lost my balance and fell, landing right in your trap. I was about to burst through the net when I found out that my wing was ripped and I didn't have the strength to fly." Mira concluded her story with a nod. "Wow. That's quite a story," the Prince stated. "So what's your story?" Mira asked. The Prince told his name and his story of running away and Mira listened intently until they had made it to what Mira had called The Ivy Fairy Kingdom.
