The Prince knew the war was coming, but he never knew it would come so soon. He heard the troops marching through the east side of the forest towards his old castle and climb to the top of the Ivy Castle to get a better look. His kingdom's army was getting ready too, but it was clear that they were severely outnumbered. "Jaron!" The Prince turned to see the Princess's long wavy hair land on her delicate shoulders as she stepped up the stairs. "Your kingdom doesn't have to lose this war and it won't." The Prince shook his head. "What are you talking about Verda?" A warm smile formed across her face. "I'm going to help you and by 'I', I mean we." The Prince looked over the tower once more to find an army of Ivy fairies flying towards his kingdom. The Prince returned the warm smile. "Thank you." He gently embraced the princess before running to catch up with the army.
He jumped on Midnight, who had been patiently awaiting some action in his new home, and took off. The Princess followed closely behind him with her majestic lime-green wings fluttering in sync with the stomps of the horse. By the time the princess and the Prince had reached the rest of the army, the war had already begun. The prince's kingdom was quick to realize that the fairies were on their side, so they fought harmoniously. The Prince and his kingdom were magnificent sword fighters and were able to defeat many men just with that skill. The fairies fought strategically and used their wings and special ability with plants to their advantage. What could have been a year long war turned out to be an hour long battle. The intruders fled and the kingdom was safe. They had won the war and there was peace. There was only one issue left to address. The Prince.
"Are you going to make me come back and marry into an alliance now?" The Prince asked the King who was still proud at having won the war. "Of course not! You did a fine job of creating an alliance yourself. I have realized that I was wrong. It is cruel to make someone be with someone they don't love. Ladies and gentlemen we have a new alliance. Please give a great cheer for the Ivy Kingdom!" The crowd cheered and cried with joy." We did it," the Prince said to the Princess." I always knew we would," declared the princess through her joyful tears. The Prince carefully placed his hands on her face and leaned in close until their lips touched. Celebration fireworks went off as the happy couple skipped cheerfully back into the forest.
In the end, the princess and the prince got married under a beautiful tree surrounded by ivy, the two kingdoms were never attacked again, Mira mastered her flying tricks, and everyone lived happily ever after.
