Nolan and Marva Lynn were trying to find Laurie's documents about getting divorce with Tim. Laurie saw a young man, who was deaf, and his name is Darryl. When Darryl was six years old, Darryl's dad passed away. He's same aged with Marla Lynn, Laurie's sister.
The song, "The Song For the Life" by Rodney Crowell features Darryl and Lionel's partnership for six years. The song "Goodbye Says it All" by Blackhawk was on the jukebox. Darryl was now 36 years old, finally speaks to deaf children outside of the bar.
As they performed "Every Once in a While," Laurie remembers lead singer Henry Paul, who formed his band way back as she and Tim were at their first attended concert in Minneapolis.
