Ciel's POV
"Master, it is time for you to wake up." Ciel heard Sebastian come in and draw his curtains back, letting sunlight wash into his room and glare into his closed eyes. He moaned and sighed, turning over and squinting his eyes shut.
"Give me some more time to rest..." His body was aching for sleep. The night before had drained all of his energy. He heard the demon chuckle as he walked over to the bed.
"My my, was I to harsh on the little lord last night?" He whispered this hotly into his ear. The mentioning of the night before startled him awake. His bi colored eyes were wide with shock and a blush already began to creep up into his cheeks as he jolted upwards.
"Wha-?! N-no! Um, I mean uh... oh shut up!" He looked away from his butler, embarrassed. Why must he act such a way in front of his own butler! It was disgraceful.
"I told you not to speak of that again, Sebastian." He said, still averting his eyes to meeting with vermilion ones.
"Oh? My hearing must be slightly off." Ciel caught a glance of him truly smiling, immediately feeling his cheeks become hot.
"What an awful way to be awoken..." Ciel said, trailing off. Why has Sebastian's appearance suddenly cause him to feel like this? What changed? Was it caused by only that one night? Or has this been slowly happening over many certain events? He shook his head and stretched, still feeling exhausted.
"What is my schedule today?" His voice was tired and low, particularly not caring for what was to come.
"Well, today it is quite a busy day. You have a short meeting with Lord Gerard concerning the income of the Funtom Company, then your dance lesson with your tutor at 10:00. Your violin lesson is at 11:00, then you are to-" Ciel had begun to close his eyes again. This information bored him. All he wanted now was to sleep.
"Of course, we could always reschedule." Ciel felt Sebastian's breath on his neck, causing shivers to travel down his spine.
"Eep-! Uh, um y-yes call everything off. Re-reschedule it for tomorrow." Ciel clutched his sheets and cursed his stupid blush. What they did the night before was truly awful. Or was it? I suppose that if no one knows of our 'activities', then it should be alright. He put his head down into his hands as soon as the thought entered his mind. Why, again, why must he think like this? He looked up to see Sebastian standing in the doorway staring at him. But strangely, it wasn't with hunger. What was this new, caring look that Sebastian played on his face? The look never disappeared or wavered as he spoke.
"I have postponed all of your activities to tomorrow, and I have sent the servants away to shop in the city. Of course, I had to make them find something that was extremely hard to find. The manor is yours at last." Ciel couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief. Then panic rushed through him.
"Elizabeth. She won't come, will she? And the two pair of idiots?" Sebastian chuckled and walked over to Ciel, tilting his chin upwards.
"They still belive you have a very busy day, my lord. It is highly unlikely that they shall come by on this day." Ciel's blush that he had just begun to wipe away came rushing back as he turned his head away.
"F-fine. I see. Now dress me. I wish to not have to stay in my night clothes for the entire day." He swung his legs over the bed and awaited for Sebastian to come with his clothes. Sebastian came over with his blue casual suit and shorts with his black knee socks and boots. Ciel couldn't help but feel slightly dizzy from Sebastian's soft touch.
"Have you prepared breakfast for me?" He asked, despite already knowing the answer.
"Why of course. What kind of silly question is that, my lord?" Sebastian said as he opened the door for Ciel. He shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't have to justify my questions." Was all the young Earl said as he walked out to go to the dining hall.
Once there, it was quite surprising to see (and hear) that the servants weren't there. Normally by now they would have something broken, dead, or completely hazardous for human consumption. On the table was a perfectly cooked salmon fillè accompanied by a delicate mint salad. He sat at the table and began to eat it, and it literally fell apart as he tried to fork it.
After he had his fill, he stood up and stretched, content. As he was stretching he shockingly felt the arms of another wrap around his body, followed by a raven colored head of hair nuzzle the crook of his neck.
"Would you like to relax in the garden, my little lord? It is a wonderful day." Ciel began to blush again. He readied himself to jump back and slap the demon behind him, but he stopped. No one was here to see them or hear them, so what's the hurt in just relaxing for a moment?
"Yes. I suppose we can." His muscles relaxed as Sebastian lifted him up and carried him out the back entrance.
In the middle of the garden a blanket was already laid out. The white roses that surrounded it gave off a wonderful floral smell. The scents cleared Ciel's mind and relaxed his body. Sebastian was right, the day was beautiful. The sun shone brightly upon the Phantomhive manor, warming his skin. The blue sky was dotted with light fluffy clouds that looked like strange animals dancing in the atmosphere. The soft breeze cooled his body when it got too warm and ruffled his teal hair. Sebastian came forward and led him to the blanket, reaching the tea set he had set up before.
"Come, my lord. Relax and enjoy this wonderful day with a cup of tea." Ciel sat down on the ground, stretching his muscles and taking the warm cup of tea to his lips. He took a sip and slightly smiled.
"Earl Grey?" Sebastian smiled as well.
"Your senses are as sharp as ever. I thought that a wonderful day such as this called for your favorite tea." Ciel sighed contently. He didn't want to admit it, but he really liked this. Relaxing out in the garden with a cup of tea, and with Sebastian. Of course, his pride would never allow him to say such a thing in front of his butler. Sebastian sat down behind Ciel and placed the young Earl between his thighs, but not in a sexual way. Still though, it made him blush.
"What is on your mind, master?" Ciel cursed both of them silently. Why did he have to think such things, and how did Sebastian know something bothered him?
"Tch. Nothing. Just that this day is quite wonderful as you said." He hoped that this would be enough for his black clad butler, but of course, Sebastian wouldn't settle for only part of the truth.
"Come now. I know that's not all of it." Sebastian wrapped Ciel in a hug around his torso and nuzzled the crook of his neck. Once again, his strong willed pride told him to slap the butler off, to shoo him away, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Damn demon playing tricks on me. He thought, yet he swallowed his pride and still answered his command.
"This day is wonderful, and I do enjoy your company." He said this in a mumbling rush of words, a warmer blush creeping up into his face despite the cool breeze. He felt the demon chuckle behind him.
"I do not know why, but I do enjoy you much better with a blush. It brings out your inner child I suppose, and I find that most satisfying." Ciel felt that as an insult and turned to push him away and reject the comment, but when he turned to face the demon he saw that he was blushing. Not the one he wears when he sees some kittens or a beautiful cat, but a blush of embarrassment. He lowered his hand and let out his own little laugh.
"This isn't like you at all, Sebastian." He leaned back into his butler's chest, content to see him slightly out of it.
"Yes, and neither is this." Sebastian leaned down and planted a soft kiss on the young Earl's lips. Strangely, Sebastian tasted sweet, like that of melted chocolate, or cotton candy even though he doesn't consume human food. Ciel was shocked at first, unsure of whether to slap him, or do nothing. Instead he let himself fall into the sweet kiss, relaxing his muscles and melting into the one behind him. He receded from the kiss to catch his breath, staring into those tauntingly beautiful vermilion eyes.
"I didn't know-" He was interrupted by the sound of Lady Elizabeth's calls of Ciel's name from the manor. He swung his head in panic toward his butler and immediately jumped off of him.
"Lizzy can not on any circumstance see us like this. That would disgrace my family name and ruin my pride and dignity as the head of the Phantomhive's. Is that understood?" Sebastian weakly nodded.
"Yes, my lord. Of course. Now I think you should go in and meet up with your fiancè, it is not proper to keep a lady waiting." Sebastian's voice went back to its normal strong tone as Ciel led himself in the doorway to meet with her. Immediately she squealed and hugged him.
"Ciel~! I heard you took a day off and I just had to come! I wanted to see that beautiful blue eye of yours again. You've been so busy these past few weeks and I haven't been able to spend even one hour with you." Ciel put on his best fake smile which everyone believed was real.
"I know. These days I am always so busy. It pleases me to finally take a break from my paper work and see you." Her face lit up and she bounced around, causing her blond pigtails to bounce around.
"Yay! Please Ciel, can we-" Ciel put up his hand to stop her. A moment of sadness crept into her eyes.
"A lady should not ask a man to dance. It is improper. Now then," He held out his hand for her to take, "would you like to dance?" Lizzy's eyes lit up and she curtsied.
"Yes. I would love to have this dance with you." Ciel looked over his shoulder at Sebastian and the butler nodded, playing a dancing record on the gramophone. All the while Ciel kept it hidden from Lizzy that he did not really want to dance. That he only wanted to stay with his butler. That he wanted her to leave. He showed none of these things and put forth the best smile he could. Pretending excellently that he loved to dance with his her. That this was exactly how he wanted to spend his day off. Only he longed for Sebastian, though he would never admit this out loud.
