i sat on my bed amused as moritz paced back and forth in front of me.

"mo, babe, you need to calm down," i said with a slight laugh. he looked at me like that was the craziest thing to ever come out of my mouth.

"calm down? y/n i'm meeting your parents tonight! i can't calm down!" he exclaimed. i just giggle and stand up, walking over to him.

"moritz, i promise they'll love you. they're red wings fans remember? you'll amaze them by being a player alone. now, take a deep breath," i tell him, breathing in deeply as he did and exhaling. "better?"

"a little, thank you." he says, smiling at me. i nod and lift myself up a little to give him a small kiss.

"i'm gonna go do my makeup and what not, try not to have a panic attack while getting ready, okay?" i joke, backing up towards the direction of my shared bathroom.

moritz chuckled slightly. "no promises."

after a little while spent doing my makeup i return to our room to change. moritz is standing in front of the mirror fidgeting with his dress shirt. i look at the rest of his outfit, consisting of some dress pants and some white sneakers.

"hey handsome," i flirt, making my way towards the closet to pick out what i'll be wearing.

"does it look good?" he asks gesturing to his outfit, "or should i change something?"

"mo you look wonderful, don't overthink it." i tell him honestly. i pull off the clothes i'm currently wearing and change into the nicer outfit i had picked out.

after putting on a pair of shoes and gathering some items we might need, we finally head off to the restaurant we would be meeting my parents.

the restaurant was nice, but moritz looked super nervous as we stepped in.

i take his hand in mine and give it a small squeeze. "it's gonna be okay." i tell him quietly as we're lead to the table my parents were currently sitting at.

they both stand up, pulling me into a big hug.

"there's our daughter! we've missed you!" my mom exclaims. i giggle at her as we pull away.

"i've missed you both a lot too. mom, dad, i'd like you to meet moritz, my boyfriend." i introduced him to them.

mo shakes my dads hand, then goes to shake my moms but is surprised to be pulled into a hug.

"it's nice to meet you sweetie, y/n's told us so much about you." she tells him with a smile.

"good things i hope." mo jokes as we all sit down. my mom and dad both laugh and i smile at moritz.

we order drinks and our food and continue to talk. during the course of the conversation i see moritz slowly relax as he becomes more comfortable around my parents.

"so you're a hockey player is that right moritz?" my dad asks. mo nods his head, "yep, i really love hockey."

"that's amazing, do you play for a college team or something?" my dad continues. mo looks at me, almost telling me he's worried to tell them. i give him a small nod, as if to say go on.

"well, no actually, i play for the red wings." he says somewhat shyly.

both my mom and dad look at him with wide eyes.
"you're kidding. we're huge fans! will you be playing this season?"

the questions kept rolling in about hockey and the red wings but the smile on mo's face filled me with joy. i listened as he talked openly with my parents about what he loved the most.

as the dinner came to an end we said our goodbyes to my parents, before walking back to our car.

mo opened the door for me with the biggest grin on his face. "i think they liked me."

"not to say i told you so but..." i teased. he just rolled his eyes and leaned down to give me a kiss.

when we pulled away i got into the car, moritz getting in right after. he started to drive us back home before breaking the silence.

"do you think they'll want grandkids?"

"moritz seider i swear to god!"
