Bakugo hadn't seen his childhood friend since middle school, where the older had relentlessly bullied Deku. He had made the younger bleed. He had made the younger cry.

He made Deku--he forced Deku to simply give up his dream of being a hero.

It was painful to be the prime age of twenty one and just now realize that he had made a fatal mistake. He had previously thought back and contemplated his harsh actions--yet made excuses on how he was helping his friend.

He was trying to keep Deku safe.

Bakugo was fighting a villain, pummeling them into the ground using the force of his explosions to increase speed. He needed to keep the crook from planning a counterattack.

The crook already sported a bloody nose and a few scrapes, however Bakugo was simply annoyed. If the guy wanted to start an uproar in a mall, he should at least be more prepared to fight.

Not that Bakugo was giving tips.

Eventually the fight ended when Bakugo was able to cuff the crook. The lowlife villain simply wanted to start an uproar and when he saw people not taking him seriously, he began attacking citizens.

Luckily Bakugo was the closest to the mall and on patrol.

Police officers came forward so Bakugo could hand off the crook and make his statement.

He was currently standing next to an older Tsukauchi. The brunette was getting ready to take a quick account of what had happened.

Later, Bakugo would send the full paperwork, but for now Tsukauchi just needed a simple statement saying what the crook did--or attempted to do.

The pro hero tapped his foot on the tile of the mall's floor, annoyed with how loud the area was.

"No! Heiji stop!" Yelled a woman's voice at the top of her lungs. She sounded quite familiar and it made Katsuki stop in his tracks. Not a moment later, Bakugo felt a small body crash into his legs and hold on tight.

"It's Kacchan! Mom look it's Kacchan!!"

Bakugo and Tsukauchi make eye contact before the latter shrugs and turns to talk to another cop.

Slowly Bakugo looks down to spot the small being that was wrapped around his legs.

Kacchan? That's what Deku calls me...

The child hugging him couldn't be more than six years old. He was buzzing with excitement as he clutched onto his favorite hero. Slowly, Bakugo maneuvered the boy and picked him up, setting him on his hip. Upon further inspection, the boy had bright blue hair and brown eyes. A small birthmark adorned his neck.

"Heiji! Careful!" Yelled the mother. Turning on his heel, Bakugo scanned the crowd for the woman. It wasn't hard to spot a thin green-haired woman running towards them.

"Is that your momma?" Katsuki asked in a friendly voice. After years of hero training at UA, gremlin handling has been engraved into his brain. The fumbling mother pushed her way towards the middle of the crowd surrounding the scene, her gaze frantically looking everywhere.

"Yeah! That's momma!" The kid bounced in his arms. "And you're Kacchan! Brother told me lots and lots and lots! about you! You're so cool, Mister Dynamight!!"

Again, Katsuki froze at the sound of his childhood nickname. But that didn't last long when the mother finally broke free of the crowd, sidestepped the officers, and ran towards Bakugo who was being turned into a stuffed animal by her son.
