My gaze went up from the computer, and a hand grasped my mouth. I tried to scream but it was muffled. My chair spun around, and there I saw a familiar face with eyes matching mine staring back at me. is the same person whose name was on my screen. Fear shot through my body as her gaze matched the psychopath that called herself our mother. My screams echoed through my head, but nothing came out. I was frozen in shock. She stared for what seemed like a century before placing a kiss on my head. Her lips were as cold as ice, colder than her glare but also familiar. My eyes closed as she pressed them to my forehead, her lips leaving my skin as she whispered, "I've finally got you back." I couldn't reply because of the hand covering my mouth, but I just stared. A million questions are rushing through my brain. "Don't scream," she said while uncovering my mouth, and I didn't scream. If she was planting cameras, she was probably armed. "Join me, we can rule together," she asked. It sounded more like a demand, but I still asked anyway. "Rule what?" Fear coated my voice as she opened her mouth and sat on the bed, her hands neatly on her lap as her legs were spread as the cursed words left her plump lips. "Hydra, we can finish what dad started." We can rule together forever, side by side, us against the world again. All the air was pulled out of my lungs as my brain registered those words. "No, no." That was the biggest mistake I ever made. She picked up a book from the floor, and I knew what was going to happen. Pain coursed through my head as a copy of Twilight hit me directly in the temple. I hit the ground with a thud. Pain shot through me as my vision started to have black spots and I became incredibly tired. I closed my eyes for just one second and it was all over. No more pain or fear, just peacefulness.

My eyes opened and I saw nothing. They were still dark, but I could tell they were open.My senses shouted at me, telling me to run, but my legs stayed frozen in fear, disgust, and remorse. I could feel that the side of my head was wet and sticky. Just right above my eyebrow was incredibly itchy, like I needed to itch it or I would die. I tried to raise my hands, but klunk. I was bound to the chair. Great! I'm having the best day ever.

My eyes reopened and my surroundings hadn't changed, but I felt something was different. I could feel it. Something was coming. At that moment, the large rusty door opened with a screeching creaking noise that made me want to rip my ears out. Some footsteps were light and preppy; they had an odd click to them, indicating they were wearing heels. I felt a tug and suddenly I saw who was standing in front of me in my presence. "Well, you were kind of scrawny." The woman who called herself my sister said, while a deep chuckle erupted from her twisted smirk, "I was always the better sibling, but it really is a shame you won't join us willingly because you really could be an asset to the team with the sense of yours." I shook my head, and I tried to launch myself out of the chair at her, but I couldn't go far. I had chains wrapped around me to make sure I wouldn't try to attack anyone. I screamed at her, letting the tears fall and letting myself let out a bit of my anger as I screamed and screamed and screamed as my broken sobs interrupted my screams of anger and betrayal. She stood there, as smug as ever, as I sat there. Weak, vulnerable, and powerless, there was nothing I could do but wait for my time to come.

I sat there for what seemed like an eternity as the door finally opened again. There was a man in a suit. He laid a tray on the floor and, in utter disbelief, I blurted out, "I can't reach that; my hands are tied." He rolled his bloodshot eyes, and he got out a key and an abnormally large tazer. One move and I'll taze you. It will leave you paralysed for a while. " He croaked out as he undid my hands, torso, and feet. I rubbed my sore wrists as I nodded, keeping as still as I could while he left, and I heard 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 locks click shut. I slowly sat on the floor and peered over at the tray. mashed potatoes and bread. I'll take it.

I reached my hand over for the bread and the feeling of it made me want to vomit. It was extremely stale. I dropped it back down and I looked at the mashed potato. I wearily picked up the wooden spoon and I scooped some of the mashed potatoes into it and it fell off like water. Gross "There's no way you will catch me eating that!" I let out an exasperated sigh, and I stood up, dusting off my dirty clothes, but that was no use. Even in the room's dim light, I could tell they were wrecked for good. My eyes wandered around the damp, smelly room, and they settled on a small mattress on the floor. I was kind of tired, but I don't know if I could sleep. I need to get out. I let my eyes wander again and I let my feet lead me to the door. I let my hands grasp the handle and I pulled down as hard as I could. I heard a creak and then a snap as a grunt escaped my chapped lips. I looked down at my hand and the door handle lay bent and deformed in my closed fist. "Agh! Shit!" I turned around in frustration before facing the camera, and I waved the door handle at it, "Oopsies!" I gave a small pathetic smile and I walked over to the mattress. I sat down with a sigh, putting my head in my free hand and wondering what to do. As smart as I was, I wasn't strong enough. My backup was manipulation. I'd seen my parents do it. How hard could it be?
