Before I left the Ghost Riders Club, I had made a certain name for myself. One that many in society would look down upon but those that knew what it was like when I ran things, had a whole different story. What once was a beautiful establishment where women could come and enjoy an evening of feeling like queens, was now a brothel where you can find every drug under the sun. It almost broke my heart to see all my hard work go down the drain. Although walking into Jerry's office with my list of demands was going to be the sweet revenge I had been waiting for.
The moment the two wooden doors slammed against the walls caused Jerry to fall out of her chair. She stood to her feet, face pale as if she had seen a ghost. Fear was creeping in her eyes as I grew nearer. A couple of the escorts she kept for herself, rain out of the office screaming. A bit dramatic but I'll take it. One of the escorts stayed however, unafraid of what may come. Jerry slowly raised her hands above her head as I got within arms reach.
"Max, I..." she tried pleading.
"Miss Winter!" I cut her off.
"Yes. Of course. Miss Winter, I would like to apologize on behalf of..."
"Save your little speech for someone who gives a shit." I cut her off once more. "I know what they told you to say.." just then four large, unarmed bouncers walked in the room. Using their bodies to block the only exit. Jerry smiled as she burst into laughter, thinking she has me trapped. "You know why I'm here. Just tell me what I want to know, and you can keep your little pets over here." I getured to the four of them. "Or, we can do this the fun way." I lightly whispered in her ear as I pulled the pistol from my bag, pressing it to her chin firmly."I don't know where she is, I swear!" Jerry pleaded.
"Bullshit! You know something." I said through gritted teeth as I pulled the hammer back.Pop! Pop!
Thump! Thump!I moved my eyes to find the source of the sound. They land on Happy standing calmly in the doorway, a silenced pistol in each hand aimed at two of the bouncers as the other two laid dead on the floor.
"Okay!" Jerry finally gave in. "I can't lose anymore employees this week." I lowered my pistol. "Last I had heard she..." Jerry hesitated. "You left Miss Winter! She.. she couldn't adjust to life here and you know you were always the stronger one."
"WHERE?" I demanded, but Jerry only shook her head. I felt eyes on me and turned to the only person in the room left unattended. From the looks of her she seemed young and frightened. Tucking away my pistol I approach her with the one offer I should have given Lexi. Leaving my twin behind in a hell hole was the biggest regret I ever had. Jerry was right, she wasn't strong like me, she was the gentle and kind one."Do you want a different life?" I extended my hand, she stared at it for a moment.
"Dawn?" Happy interjected with wide eyes. She looked up at him and didn't see an enforcer of S.A.M.C.R.O. but saw Uncle Happy. A close and dear friend of her father's. She ran into his open arms and began to weep uncontrollably. He carried her out of the building to my car, laying her gently in the backseat.
The drive seemed to go on for hours, Happy on his bike close behind and I just spot a sign for Charming when Dawn Trager finally spoke. "Were you looking for Lexi?" She asked with big eyes peering at me through the rearview mirror. "Yes." I replied dryly. "You look just like her." Dawn stated as we pulled into T.M. "She was the nicest person." She attempted to comfort me but to no avail. When the car came to a full stop, she burst out of the car and ran straight into Tig's awaiting arms. Happy walked up beside me. "You gonna tell him or am I?" He asked without blinking as Jax and Abel were barreling towards us. "Neither." I replied without moving my lips, Happy's eyes grew wide. "Nothing happened today." I finished before strutting towards Jax.
