"Those mischievous scamps."
I watch as everything goes blurry for a second before going clear again. We end up in a random hallway in the TVA. I look next to me as Loki looks around. Suddenly hes pulling me forward by my arm and we're running through the long hallway. I can't help a giggle that escapes from me. As we slow down he turns to look at me with a questioning look. I laugh again and shake my head.
"I haven't had this much excitement in a while, it's fun" I say giving him a huge smile. He just shakes his head and continues pulling me through the hall. I push away the little pool of butterflies I feel in my stomach thinking its just from all the excitement that's going on. Finally, we make it into the main room where TVA agents monitor the timeline. Loki releases my hand and runs over to Casey. I follow, trying to figure out his objective here.
"Hey. I know you. You're that criminal with the blue box." Casey says, looking very happy.
"What's your name?" Loki asks
"Casey."
"Give me the Tesseract, or I'll gut you like a fish, Casey." Loki says angerly. I chuckle, knowing Casey doesn't know what a fish is. Loki turns to me with a furrowed brow, looking very annoyed.
"What's a fish?" Casey responds looking between the both of us.
"How do you not know what a fish is?" Loki says very surprised.
"Hes lived behind a desk his whole life, obviously he's not gonna know what a fish is" I say. Loki scoffs and turns back to Casey.
"I wanna know exactly what I'm being threatened with before I comply." Says Casey looking between the two of us again.
"Death, Casey. Violent, painful death." Loki says impatiently
"Okay, okay. I comply, I comply. I comply. Jeez!" we watch as Casey rummages through a cabinet in a cart looking for whatever it is Loki wants. I just stand there, already knowing whats going to happen. Loki was about to understand that there's nothing as powerful as the TVA.
"this it?" Casey asks, pulling out the blue cube. I watch as Loki snatches it out of his hands, but something else in the cabinet catches his attention. He pulls out a couple of infinity stones, a shocked expression across his face.
"Oh, we actually get a lot of those. Yea. Some of the guys use them as paperweights." Casey says picking one up and looking at it. Loki slowly gets up and walks towards the front of the room where the huge timeline monitor is. He stares at it trying to find the right words.
"Is this the greatest power in the universe?" he says softly.
"Yup. We've been trying to tell you." I say sarcastically.
He turns to me and we lock eyes for a second. I feel those butterflies again, but they go away quickly as the elevator door dings and the hunters come running out. In one swift movement Loki grabs the time twister out of my hand while pulling me close to his body. My arms quickly wrap around him and I put all my trust in him to work the twister correctly. I close my eyes and feel him put one across my back, telling me that we're going. I feel the room around me spin and in a second, we're steady again. I open my eyes to see we're back in mobius' room. Loki moves his hand from my back, and I remove my arms from him. I stumble back and sit on the floor. I watch as Loki goes to the projector on the table and messes with the tape. He fast forwards his life to a scene where he's with his father and brother. I can hear Loki quietly crying, the small sniffles coming from him as his brother shows up on the screen telling him he's not so bad. I feel bad for him, because I know what it's like to see your own life knowing you can never actually live it. Suddenly, thanos appears on screen, and I shake my head. I hated that titian with a passion. I watch as he grabs Loki by the neck and snaps it. Loki and I gasp at the same time, a small tear runs down my face, and I see him shake a little. Then he starts laughing, and I hear the door to my right open. Hunter B-15b walks in looking back and forth between us. That's been a common thing today.
"What's so funny?" they ask Loki
"Glorious purpose" Loki says, giving them a smirk.
I slowly scoot back towards the wall knowing what's about to happen. I watch as they start fighting, B-15 winning for a minute before Loki takes off the collar from his neck and throws it onto B-15's. He grabs the time twister and makes B-15 disappear and come back over and over again. I chuckle a little, standing up and walking towards him. He finally sends B-15 away and its just us in the room again. He grabs a chair and gestures for me to sit before grabbing another one and sitting right next to me. I smile and swing my feet around bringing them up onto the table and crossing them. He laughs and shakes his head, and suddenly there's a sort of tension in the air. We both feel it both tense up, and just like that the butterflies are back. Something in me tells me he's feeling them too, because he looks away from me, not wanting me to see the small blush that creeps across his face. At the same time a small blush makes its way to my face, and I smile, fiddling with my fingers. A minute later the doors burst open, and non-other than my good ole friend Mobius M Mobius is standing there, hands on hips, and a baffled expression across his face.
