☬CHAPTER 03☬: PARTED

Pant* Okayy...we should be good now, but we might have gone too deep into the forest,plus I think we're quite close to Stray Kids territory I heard that whoever tries to raid Stray Kids never succeeded in their attempts. They must have really powerful and scary members, I shouldn't get on their bad side either. But they're least of my concerns now, i looked over to Minho whose condition was deteriorating further and further despite the help of the healing potion and I can't go to the district to seek help, the guards must be flooding every nook and corner of the streets since the incident about Taesung must've reached the rest of the guards.

Dammit if only I had contacted him about this earlier maybe he could've helped in some way. I have no idea how to help Minho sigh* I'm so helpless in these kind of situations I can't just leave him here in such a dangerous area. So i just gently put Minho on the ground leaning against a tree while i scanned the area to find a suitable place to camp, luckily there was a small cave nearby and as i was about to carry Minho there i saw him motioning for me to get closer and so i sat in front of him and he leaned close to my ears and whispered with what seemed to have been his last remaining strength," STRAY KIDS...........HELP".

Ehhh ..Minho? Minho!! It was no use he completely passed out, uh-oh that's not a good sign but what now? Did he say what I heard him say?? Stray kids?! Seek help from them ohnooo that's worse than execution!, i frantically paced back and forth thinking on whether to listen to Minho's words or just not go at all. M-maybe i should just leave him here, ever since he's been with me his problem became mine as well, then Jisung remembered something he had long forgotten.

" What if he turns out like his father? Shush... keep quiet he'll hear us."

"Like father, like son right?".

" I feel bad for the mother..."

" Such an unfortunate family".

Then in a fit of rage he screamed out to the empty forest," I AM NOT MY FATHER-!!" Dammit of all the times why did I have to remember all these things...c'mon Jisung u swore you won't become like your father. I have to keep my promise i made with mom before i unknowingly came here to this place, then i guess I've got no choice but to go into Stray kids territory hmmm Minho must have some connections with Stray kids since he told me to go to them maybe he'll get better treatment for his wounds there. I knew of the location in which their base was, this information was told to me by a certain someone who warned me never to go near their territory as only God knows what they did to people who intruded in their territory. Guess I'll just have to find out for myself Minho owes me big time for this, I mean "who would risk their second life for a stranger?".

With my life on the line and the uncertainties that lie ahead I set off venturing deep into the forest and as I covered more distance there were less traces of sunlight as the thick forest cover blocked the sun's rays from getting through and for some reason it seemed to get colder and colder. I was becoming more worried about Minho's condition because it's been almost an hour since I last heard his voice. I only hope that i won't be too late, i myself was getting exhausted from carrying him so much, i feared I would pass out before reaching the destination. While walking through dark and narrow stoney paths, I noticed blood stains dried up on the rocks and many human skeleton bones scattered here and there, the sight of it disgusted me i had to get used to these kind of things because death seemed to loom everywhere on this continent ever since the new " MONARCH " took charge.

The smell of death was very uncomfortable as I navigated through thick vines that were blocking our way and it felt very creepy,I could feel someone's eyes on us and that maybe we weren't alone... It's probably just paranoia kicking in, I thought to myself and continued down the path. After lingering in the dark for so long there was finally some light as we cleared the dark forest and ahead of us lied fresh and evergreen scenery, the terrain was definitely much better than what we just walked through and the one thing i dreaded to go to came into view, The base of STRAY KIDS ........oh how I wish to just turn back and leave but there's no time to be a coward Jisung,"let's go and say hi and leave Minho on the doorsteps and rendezvous the heck out of there". Gathering all the courage and confidence I marched towards the entrance of their base,but isn't it weird that I've reached their base all too easily? No guards or traps...shit they must already know of my presence no wonder everything was too easy,they didn't attack because I have Minho on my back" oh god bless Minho you were like a meat shield" i walked past the gate which was automatically open" i guess they were expecting me from the start" i thought as the atmosphere around me started getting tense and the sky turned dark and gloomy as if a thunderous storm was fast approaching, the more i got closer to the main entrance the more creeped out i got because i certainly felt that someone was close by watching us.
