Ch. 22: Bewilderment

I'm a boy from another universe.

Taehyung?

T-Taehyung doesn't exist here?

No way.

The words take longer to sink in. Its as if my mind has lost it's capability to think properly and has paused to a halt, a loading symbol appearing on the top of my head.

"Yoonha?"

My mind continues to buffer, my conscience far from stable ground.

If Taehyung can prove that other dimensions exist and that he can travel through them by his will, then that could explain how he disappears and reappears from time to time then, right?

"Hey, Yoonha?"

--Wait, so he really isn't a ghost? Could that mean that ghosts in general don't actually exist? That wouldn't connect with the rest of the evidence in my collection of theories though. Other people, besides me, can't see him so how would that explain--

"Yoon Eunha?"

A voice finally pulls me back to reality. I quickly shake my thoughts away as I try to focus my attention on Taehyung instead, despite feeling the bewilderment still clawing at my brains.

"You okay?" he grins warmly with a brow perked "I've been calling you, y'know."

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine, I just-- I didn't expect--  like, I don't know..."

My words fumble with each other, the rack of emotions quickly becoming too much for me to handle, but the blonde in front of me only laughs in response to my reactions -- head throwing backwards as if I had just said the funniest joke he's ever heard.

He slides off the swing and hops on to his feet "Oops, my bad. I forgot how the people of this world don't really believe in such things existing." He explains, words underlying with a hint of laughter.

"N-No, we really don't." I scratch the nape of my neck with a crooked grin.

He box-smiles before reaching out to offer a hand "Then I guess its time for you to. Shall we then?"

No way is he actually serious about this. He can't be from another dimension. That would just be absurd, right?

Right?

But the next thing I know, hes yanking me off of the seat of my swing with a huge smile and I can't help but follow suite.

He then suddenly closes the proximity between us by a gentle pull to my forearm, the side of my cheek meeting with the muscles on his chest.

"Ow-- "

I feel an arm securing around my waist "I suggest you hold on tight, Princess. Teleporting isn't as smooth of a ride as you'd think it to be."

Oh crap.

(a/n: apologies on slow updates. i'm working on them ;-; i know this wasn't the best chapter but I'll try updating again soon, stay safe everyone <33)
