Niall
Her black hair fell perfectly behind her back, her brown eyes starred at me-full of hate and concern, her fingers had a perfect grip on the red roses, her jeans were wet from the bottom but it didn’t change the way her beauty flowed throughout her body.
“I’m fine” she said replying to me after a while of staring.
“Please Mia” I pleaded stepping closer.
“I have to go” Mia whispered walking away.
I watched as the rain drops hit her- making her wet. She didn’t seem to care. I snapped out of my trance, jogging over to her, placing the umbrella over the head.
“You know I can explain?” I said.
Mia stopped in her tracks, turning around to face me. We stared into each other’s eyes for a while until I looked away to find no one in the quiet street we were standing in. It was just me and her. I diverted my attention back to her eyes- staring into them deeply.
“Just give me a chance…” I whispered, our foreheads touching.
I watched as Mia shut her eyes, making crinkles appear next to them. Her soft cheeks now had rough tears flowing down them. It broke me to see her like this. I cupped her cheek with my free hand, gesturing her to open her eyes. But they didn’t.
“Mia you know I would do anything for you, you mean the world to me and hurting you was the worst thing I had ever done. If I could turn back time I would put so many things right…I would change a lot of things…” I said with full honestly.
Mia finally opened her gorgeous brown eyes. I gave her smile as Mia stared at my face, thinking. She wasn’t crying anymore and she wasn’t saying anything either.
“Are you going to say anything?” I asked.
Mia shook her head in response. A smile crept onto my cheeks, knowing she wasn’t as angry at me.
“Are you going to talk to me?”
Mia shook her head again her eyes still staring at me. Her red lipstick made her lips appear full of life as she gave me a smile in return to the big one on my face.
“Do you still want to hear me out?”
Mia shook her head once again in response.
“Can I have a kiss then?” I smirked.
This time Mia didn’t say or gesture anything. She stared at the ground, her feet becoming interesting to her all of a sudden. She still had the roses in her grip and the umbrella was still covering her head from the rain. I slowly lifted her chin up so she would face me. Our foreheads weren’t touching anymore but we were close.
“You know I’m extremely sorry…right?”
Mia gave a nod and smiled.
“So…about that kiss…” I trailed off. I was dying for Mia’s lips to touch mine-for the fireworks to spark again. It was like a drug. But in this case I didn’t mind taking it for as long as I lived.
The comment made a smile appear onto Mia’s lips and her cheeks burn with a familiar red colour. Taking that as a ‘yes’ I leaned in to kiss her. And to my surprise she kissed back, full of passion and love. Something my lips were craving for. I realized the rain was still pouring and I was still holding the umbrella. I slowly bought the umbrella down so I heads weren’t covered.
The rain poured freely onto us. Right now I didn’t care if the world was taking pictures of us and putting it everywhere. I was with the girl I loved and only she mattered. I lost her once and I wasn’t going to lose her again.
We pulled apart staring into each other’s eyes.
“I like your style horan…kissing in the rain” Mia grinned.
I let out a chuckle putting the umbrella back over our heads.
“I want to take you out tomorrow” the words rolled out of my tongue without my brain registering them.
Mia gave me a nod.
“How about I pick you up at 5pm?”
“Perfect” Mia smiled her gorgeous smile.
“Come on I’ll walk you back home” I said gesturing her to follow.
The walk was filled with talk about everything we had missed out on for the past few days. The place Mia was staying at wasn’t far so it only took 5 minutes to get there.
“That one is beautiful” I gasped pointing at Mia’s stomach. The quote printed on her stomach had a lot of meaning to it. It was beautiful.
“You like it?” she questioned.
“I love it” I smiled.
She smiled back in return before unlocking the door to her house. She set the roses down on a bench before turning back to me.
“Do you want anything?” she smirked.
I shook my head to say ‘no’.
“How about pizza and movie night” I suggested.
Mia gave me a nod.
I sighed sitting down on the couch waiting for wonderful night to begin…
