As Kaya and her father was sitting they heard trumming.
Kaya: What is it?
Ronin and some soldiers came riding infront of the Smith's home where the town started. Ray walked out and Kaya was about to walk with him but was stopped by her mother.
Maya: Kaya stay inside.
Maya followed Ray outside and Nya signaled Kaya to a part of the wall she could climb up on.
Ronin: Citizens I bring a proclemation from Spinjitsu master. Overlord's army has invated Ninjago.
The Citizens all gasped and got worried.
Ronin: By order of the Spinjitsu master. One man from every family must serve in the army.
He called up family names and handed the men a scroll lastly it was Kaya's family left.
Ronin: The smith family.
Kaya: No.
Ray walked up to Ronin.
Ray: I'm ready to serve the Spinjitsu master.
Kaya ran up to her father.
Kaya: Father you can't!
Ray: Kaya!
Kaya: Please sir. My father have allready fought for-
Ronin: Silent! You would do well teaching your daughter hold her tounge in a mans presents.
Ray: Kaya. You dishonor me.
Nya walked up to her sister and walked her inside.
Ronin: Report tomorrow at the Jamanakai camp.
Ray: Yes sir.
Ray walked inside as the women in the family stood there sad and worried. Later Kaya walked passed her father's room seeing him taking out his sword. He tried it out but fell in pain from his old war injury. This made Kaya more worried.
In the evening the family was sitting eating dinner in silent. Kaya then smashed her tea cup on the table.
Kaya: You shouldn't have to go!
Maya: Kaya.
Kaya: There are plenty of young men to protect Ninjago.
Ray: There's a honor to protect my country and my family.
Kaya: So you'll die for honor!?
Ray: I will die doing what's right.
Kaya: But if you-
Ray: I know my place! It is time you learned yours!
Kaya ran out as her mother and sister was silent. She cried by a dragon statue in the rain. But then saw her reflection in a puddle and then saw her parents talk inside. Just then she knew what she nedded to do. She went to her ancestors alter and prayed. Then she took the scroll her father got and replaced it with her comb. She took her father's sword and cut her hair shorter, putting it up so it looked like a mans. Lastly she took her father's armor and ride away with the horse.
Nya woke up and ran to her parents.
Nya: Kaya's gone!
Ray: What?
He then saw Kaya's comb where the scroll was and understod what happened.
Ray: It can't be.
Then he looked for his sword and armor couldn't find them. He, Maya and Nya then walked out.
Ray: Kaya!
He fell and saw the gate open.
Ray: No.
Maya helped him up.
Maya: You must go after her. She can be killed.
Ray: If I reveal her. She will be.
Maya broke down in tears as Ray hugged her, hoping his oldest daughter would be safe. Nya stood and prayed.
Nya: Ancestors. Please here our prayer. Look after Kaya and keep her safe.
At the alter was a light blown out. Indecating that the ancestors heard Nya.
